Yes indeed, many variations on the name; fortunately they lived in the same area all their lives so the search was just a matter of scanning each census of the Rush County township they lived in.

Hello, John Zimmerlee, 72657845, and his wife Mariah Ballenger Zimmerlee 72657868 are buried in Milroy Cemetery, Milroy, Rush, Indiana. At one time they had memorials and a picture of the monument bearing their names. Their names are on the other side of the monument that memorializes their 3 young daughters Louisa, Priscilla, and Melissa Zimmerlee. Don't know why or when the memorials were removed. I contributed new memorials for them today.

I sent you a message in an edit on one of your memorials, Our Little Lida Durham. I am not sure about this one. Kind of odd though if there were two Our Little Lidas both dying Apr 1860? Please see what you think?

|Ruth Smith||Clyde Carlyle Porter|
Hello - we have a mystery concerning the son of Clyde Carlye Porter whose memorial page you originated. His name is Walter Porter. I found and photographed his grave this week at the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery here in Cape Girardeau. His wife, Virginia, is also buried there beside him. However, another findagrave volunteer - Erin Jackson had memorial pages for them at the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson with pictures of the same graves. We are asking ourselves, how can this be? How can the same people be buried in two different cemeteries? I contacted a relative who had requested the picture and he also thinks (and the records show) the military shipped the headstone to Cape County Memorial. so we are trying to get "input" from anyone who might know anything about this situation. I called the Russell Heights office listed in the phone book and she said she cannot give out that information. Thanks for any help you can give and thank you for all the work you have done as a volunteer. Ruth SMith

Could you add a short bio to #23067104 (Mary Stewart)?
Mary and her twin Elizabeth have the town Twin Lakes named after them in Wisconsin. There is a Lake Elizabeth and a Lake Mary in the town as they were born right over the border in Burton Township (today known as Spring Grove), Illinois. Legend has it that the Potawatomi Indians named it after them as they had never seen two twin girls with blonde hair and blue eyes before.

Awhile back you transferred my ancestor above to me (# 22161600). You included some transcriptions from her gravestone. I tried a photo request but it was reported they couldn't find it. I am just wondering if you took a photo of it that you could add or if you are near to the cemetery and could find it again and photo it. I know I am asking a lot but hope this is something you could do. All my best to you and thanks regardless!

Coleah, Thank you so very, VERY much for all the editing on far flung family members you are doing. You are just fabulous. I know I'll find the bottom of the two (!!!!) Allen lines eventually, but your generosity of time is really so very much appreciated. I have to be careful I don't get behind on my own edits. I have two folks who are bound and determined to put up photos on all the Memorials at Lakeside Cemetery by the end of the year. yay. No, it really is wonderful, but I feel your pain every time you see my name on an edit.
Again, thank you so very much.
