RE: McLEod Cemetery Listings
Thanks Richard.

I have had a bit more of a look into it and I think there are 2 ways that it could be done:

1. YOu send me a list of listings you want to change (name and url) to my email kdarnie at gmail dot com and i will transfer ownership of the listing to you (i dont need it back).
2. YOu make the edits to the listings via the edit function. I will then approve all you edits.

Me making the changes would be a duplication of effort for both of us i think.

Please email me to the above address if you would like to discuss further, otherwise i am happy for you to make a decision and start the process.

RE: McLEod Cemetery Listings
Hi Richard

Im not sure exactly where I got them from, they were in a spreadsheet and I dont have the original file.

Depending on the number of issues, I can either make the changes myself or I can just transfer ownership of the listing to you.

Let me know what would be best.

RE: McLeod Cemetery Names Plaques
Yes, any information on my cousin Hugh Grier #60857787 would be greatly appreciated. You could just add it to the memorial, or send it - fay_carmichael at msn dot com

He had a wife Mary and four children, but I couldn't find any of their names listed in Australia's cemeteries.

Thank you, Fay

Richard - thank you SO much for going to so much trouble. Your photo is perfect.

My cousin will be thrilled with this new information. Hugh was the brother of her great-grandfather who was married to my great-grandfather's sister.

Wouldn't they be amazed at what we go through to find out more about their lives?!!

Thank you so much for searching. If on your visits you ever wish to just photograph the plot, that would be fine.

And thank you for all the work you have done for Find A Grave over the years - greatly appreciated.

Congratulations on your Australian citizenship - we have found several cousins who have immigrated there from Ireland over the years. They love it!

RE: Stephen John Keane
Although he was an Army Captain he was buried as a civilian because he was Militia Part-time. The fellow I'm chasing is the same one in Cairns Martyn Street Cemetery ( there's one one Stephen John Keane in Martyn Street and that's him but you won't find him buried as a Captain even though he was. Long story.
Plot No 38784/ Site 4068/ Row T3.

RE: Stephen Keane photo request
I have a copy of his death certificate and it states that he was buried in Cairns Cemetery on 13th April 1941, which one I don't know. I can send you a copy of the DC if you require it.
Cheers - John.

Not a relation to me. Just researching Macomb. Love adding info to memorials and creating them. If you want to unload any of yours then feel free to pass them to me :)

All the census show him being born about 1843 and his death certificate states that he was born in 1843. It looks to me like the stone says 3 also.

RE: Photos & Memorial
Hi Rick, Thanks again for your help. It would be great if there is some sort of marker for his grave, but nearly 100 years later I realize it is near impossible. All the photos you have taken for me have been much appricated.
Thanks Colleen

RE: Photos & Memorial
Hi Rick, Thank you for taking the photos of my family in the Cairns City. You were correct in adding John Hipworth, who is Francis Hipworth's brother. Two brothers married two sisters. Ivy Hipworth & Ruby Hipworth nee Black. I have checked Alexander Black's info and now think it is correct and would love to know if there is any headstone for him in the McLeod St one. Thanks once again for your assistance.
