|JANET (Simmerman) BARNABY||TRYING TO SOLVE A MYSTERY|
I have some papers that show (years ago) some inheritance going to certain members of my family...but I can't make a connection of this lady to my family. I thought perhaps if you are from the Warren co./ Fountain co. area you might be able to help me figure it out??
The lady leaving the money was ETTA FIX. (died 1977)...#42778299
do you have any idea how or where she connects to the Simmerman line?? specifically my paperwork seems to bring in at NANCY HAMILTON SIMMERMON STORY #66515598; Stephen Simmerman ; and Samuel S.Simmerman #58326561...those are the recipients of the money, but the living members don't seem to know why they got it...less than $100 each.
Thought I'd give you something to think on

You posted these memorials (# 49395588 & 49395569)
in 2010 in Harveysburg cemetery. Someone else has now posted these same memorials In Kingman Fraternal Cemetery (# 138203414 & 138203360) in 2014. Can you tell me if these two cemeteries are one & the same? They both have almost the same GPS coordinates and the maps on each one show the same location. I am not familiar enough with Kingman to be able to answer this question. Thanks for whatever information you can give me and thanks for all your years of hard work on this site.

|Onlyarethusa||Elizabeth Ricketts Richardson|
Hello! Elizabeth Richardson, Find A Grave Memorial #22597010, was the daughter of Elizabeth Oxley and William Ricketts. Elizabeth Oxley Ricketts died about 1831 in Ohio, Indiana. Because she died so early, there is no record of her in census records, but her husband's Find A Grave Memorial lists her as the mother of Elizabeth, and Elizabeth Oxley Ricketts is listed in her father's will. In 1850, Elizabeth Ricketts Richardson (before her marriage in 1852 to Stephen Richardson) is listed living with her uncle, William Oxley, in Division 2, Ohio, Indiana. William Ricketts, Elizabeth Ricketts Richardson's father, married a 2nd time after Elizabeth Oxley Ricketts died. This 2nd wife's name was Harriet. William's Find A Grave Memorial number is 20484207. There is no burial place or Find A Grave Memorial for Elizabeth Oxley Ricketts. DNA testing has proven the link between Elizabeth Oxley and myself, and Elizabeth Oxley Ricketts is listed as such in her father's will. (Eli Oxley)

His headstone was in the eastern part of the cemetery, almost to the fence. I have a picture of the stone I will post as soon as I get it scanned.

Thanks for all your hard work and effort to provide info and photos for all these memorials. I have found many of my ancestors in your research. I especially appreciate your transcriptions of headstones, as many hard hard to read in a photo. You have helped me immensely with documenting my family tree. Is it ok if I copy your info/photos to my tree? I do list you as the source of the information. I hope that's ok. Thanks again, I wish I could be trekking around those stones with you!

|cathy lindeman||monument or Rachael Strader and Elizabeth Fowler|
I was just able to find Elizabeth Fowler's monument on find a grave. It looks to be the same monument as Rachael Strader's. If this is true, then I'm sure that Rachel is Elizabeth's daughter. Rachael's maiden name would be Cedars. The Cedars name is often misspelled and hard to trace. I don't know Elizabeth's maiden name, but she 1st married a Cedars, 2nd marriage was to Samuel Knisley, 3rd marriage to Joshua Davis Fowler. Can you please let me know if this is the same monument and if there were other names on it? I'm still looking for Rachael's 1st husband who was a Mosier.
Thanks for all your help. You are doing a great job!!!

|Stender-Custer||James P Morrison (51305676)|
Are you sure that James P Morrison is the husband of Harriet Stearns Morrison (51305701)?
I'm researching a family from Cass County, Iowa. Research indicates that Sarah Morrison left Vermillion County, Illinois after the death of her husband, James Perry Morrison. She and her four children travelled by covered wagon to Cass County, Iowa.
When I saw that there was a "James P Morrison" in Vermillion County that died in 1888, I was sure that he was the 'missing' husband and father of the Cass County folks. But after I saw that he was linked to a different wife and child, I had to think twice.
Do you have any other information?

|cathy lindeman||Alanson Albert Greenwood|
I believe that Alanson Albert Greenwood (1827 Bethel,Maine-1903 Attica, IN ) is also buried in Riverside Cemetery. Either close to his first wife Eliza Ann Ness Greenwood and his uncle, Hurley Greenwood ( he was in business with him)or his second wife Amelia E. McCormick and his daughters Ida and Mary Celeste. I would like to post a memorial for him, but am hesitant to do so without a marker. Do you have access to the cemetery records or recall a marker for him when you did the others?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
