Creating your own Memorial
At the end of your Bio it says.....My find a grave is # 81751967......I could not transfer to you using that number. Your number is at the top beside your name and they are different numbers. sharon copeland (#46576423) That is the number I used.

I see now it is the number of the memorial you created for yourself after you are gone. I never thought of that and I think is a good idea. I run across folks a lot who will not transfer your direct ancestor to you when they are no relation to them and just want the numbers. I am gonna think about this and probably create my own too because I don't have any close family on Find-A-Grave. Doing this assures me one of children will get it if they choose too because I will tell them about it.

Thanks for the idea.

I have transferred this memorial to you.

You have a number listed at the end of your bio that must not be a correct number. It tells me there is no such number as that. I used the number beside your name at top of page.

RE: Memorial # 55300170
Hi Sharon and fellow Goins!

My Goins line was in Kingston and Hillsboro, New Mexico. Both of Sierra County.

My g-grandmother was Duvie GOins-Meyers. Her father was Seborn Goins (AKA Cebe, Seaborn, Cefren). I don't think he knew how to spell his 1st name..LOL, or maybe he didn't care.

Anyway, Seborn was born in 1852 in Texas (died 31 Mar 1934 in Engle, Sierra County, New MExico). His father was John Henry Goins born in 1822 in Louisianna to Jeremiah Goins and Sharofina Drake.

How about you? Who are your Goins and do they come from Louisiana or Texas?

Hi-I see you attached a couple of neat pics of W. D. Goins to his memorial.

Do you happen to know:

1. His full name
2. His death date
3. Either of his parents name

I'm trying to figure out if he is in my Goins line (I think he is not-but want to make sure).

You have Joseph Rentz Find A Grave Memorial# 37168972 as the son of Amanda Googe and Aaron Nathaniel Rentz. Amanda was 3 years old when Joseph was born? There must be a mistake somewhere.

RE: Mayme Jane page Hinson
Thank you so much for your response. I kept her memorial at the Mulberry Cemetery so that others would also understand. In her bio I listed her other Memorial and its number at the Washington Cemetery where she is buried. I see the notes about her lifelong companion I will continue to keep them linked as spouse in Mulberry. His number is # 95305581 at Mulberry if you wish to include any of his children or note to link in bio. I smile to think of how she and my grandparents were in the same community and knew one another! Wonderful folks! Thank you again. If you have pictures of John Hinson, feel free to add them as well!

Hi, I am updating Mulberry records as a volunteer. In updating the Hinson family of three there, I have a question. In research I believe that Mayme Jean Hinson passed in June of 1979. I note that her headstone is not engraved. If you are family, I am curious if you know if she is buried in Washington, or where. Any information I will be glad to update. Bless you!

I have transferred management of Robert & his son, Boyd, to you. But I cannot transfer wife Nona & son, James, as I am not the creator of those memorials. Best of luck to you.

RE: transfer (Maggie E. Copeland # 86202688)
Ms. Copeland:

I've gone ahead and and made the transfer per your request. Thanks for your patience. I check my email far more regularly than I log in on F.A.G. It may expedite any future requests if you adhere to the F.A.G. guideines located in the FAQ area regarding transfer requests.

I look forward to seeing the many changes and updates you will be making.

For your reference I've included the material regarding transfers: "Fifth, The "Suggest a correction" feature may also be used to submit corrections, an original biography, and family links to memorials that do not fall under the above definition. (Be sure to include the memorial ID#s for the family links and how they are related, father, mother or spouse. The original contributor should make any corrections and add any additional information you have for that memorial, such as links to parents and spouses, provided the information is accurate."

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Take care...

I did not know I was being rude. If you take photos from any site regardless of where it is and if they are not your original photos it is only common courtesy to give credit or a source to where you found them. Also, when I add info or memorials I check to make sure no one else has added it already. Courtsey to others and Find A Grave.

Thanks, not being rude.

Same with Sabra Haskins....please remove. Find A Grave rules are that only one memorial per person. I created a memorial in 2008, you one in 2010.

Could you please remove your memorial of Margaret Ann Haskins Daniel. I posted a memorial for her in 2008 as she is my father in law's grandmother, you posted yours latter part of 2010. Also you have posted my photos to your memorial without giving the proper credit as to where they came from. Those are the only photos like those and are mine.

I just visited the Malugin Cemetery in Humphreys county today (5/7/2012) and took pictures of the headstones. The dates on the headstone for Margaret do not match the dates here.

Sorry Sharon. I am kneedeep in recording 2,000 people from Alta Vista and I am afraid "John" has faded into memory. If I remember I'll ask again. N

Hi Sharon,
No worries! I'm glad I could be of assistance to you. And yes, there are many folks bearing all of your family names buried in Fairview. Unless you can obtain an internment book from City Hall, there really isn't any other book listing the internments. I'd be glad to look up any names you want/need and snap their picture.
Yes, there is an Eastern State Hospital cemetery that sits east of the old hospital (and several miles east of Fairview). I know some of the tombstones have names and dates but a goodly amount do not. Do you want me to see if I can find her grave? Just let me know.

Have a great day!

RE: Abbott family
Miss Sharon,
I am glad I could be of assistance to you. I did photograph all the Abbotts I wandered across the day I was out. I will be putting them up and/or matching my photos to existing memorials over the next week or so around my work schedule. If you have never before been to Fairview; wear comfortable shoes, haha! It is bigger than it appears! Also, only the blocks (FV, HM, PK, etc) are marked - rows and lots are not physically marked. Talk with the gents at the maintenance barn or with the genealogy department at the library (and get a photo copy of the map that was drawn up and published in the cemetery book)!

If I can be of any other assistance, do not hesitate to holler at me. Be glad to help.

Have a great weekend,
