Robert Duzenack of Helper
I noticed you requested a photo for Robert Duzenack. Are you related? I am going through the cemetery records and noticed that he and his parents died in 1970. My friend checked obituary records and found these newspaper articles for me. Do you know anything else about the accident? I'm just curious. We have about a foot of snow on the headstones right now so can't get to them; however, I do want to attach the picture as soon as the snow melts.

re: Bugbee @ Steele City
When filling the photo request for Annie Bugbee, I noticed that the month of death and her given name were incorrect on her memorial. I have submitted corrections for both of them. Just thought I'd let you know before you submit them too.

You're welcome.

Did you confirm the death dates for Maria Torres and Maria Trinidad in Los Torres Cemetery. The listings are that the dates are the dates of burial, not death. It seems logical that recording the date of death as the date of burial in the early 20th century would be very close to being correct, if not exactly right. I was just wondering if you had a different source other than the records of the Archdiocese?

Do you know of anyone that has recently visited Los Torres Cemetery? I tried a few weeks ago, but the roads indicated on my map were impassable or nonexistent.

Good Hunting!

On memorial # 25611284, you have Sept 6 the birth date. The memorial clearly has Sept 7. you know.

Abraham Motsinger Robertson
I was doing some photo work in the Alanthus cemetery in Gove county, Kansas. I then noticed that there are two memorials for Abraham Motsinger Robertson. The other memorial was established in 2012 and yours in 2008. Maybe you and the owner of the other memorial can combine info and correctly have just one memorial for this gentleman.

Your welcome for the memorial to Alberta. Yes she was quite a person, I talked to her quite often. She was a 2nd cousin of mine. We often exchanged information on genealogy. I just talked to her at the Lavy Reunion in July and she looked tired.

Nathrop Cemetery Requests
Hi again Bruce,
I just read about the Nathrop Cemetery and actually it is on private property according to the info I read. If I find different, I'll certainly try to research the people you're looking for.

Nathrop Cemetery Requests
Hi Bruce,
I got your requests for several of the graves at the Nathrop Cemetery. I'll try to get those if I get up that way. It's about 50 miles from here. First I'll need to find the cemetery! They just list gps coordinates here.

RE: Laura Perea [1914-1995] and Wendell Somers Perea [1891-1938]
Many thanks, Bruce.

No info on the disposition of Laura's ashes; looks like a dead end.

In respect of Wendell, institutions are extremely careful about patient records, so no reply there.

The focus of my research is Susan Gates Perea --many mysteries there.

Again, thanks for all the work you do.

Laura D. Perea
Dear Bruce,

First, thanks for all your work on the Jose Ynez Perea family. It contains several mysteries for me. For Laura (as with her uncle Wendell Somers Perea), who was around to see that she was cremated, since she outlived all her family?

As for Wendell, how sure are we that he is in fact buried with his mother in Pendleton County KY? He seems to have been institutionalized all those years. Who saw to his burial?

Any light you can shed would be much appreciated.

In regard to the last message. At the time of its establishment in 1850, San Diego County was relatively large, and included all of southernmost California which was south and east of Los Angeles County. As such it included areas of what are now Inyo County and San Bernardino County, as well as all of what is now Riverside County and Imperial County.[15]:221
Found 2 pieces of information regarding Reuben W. Barber's land purchases. I am cut & pasting this info because I don't understand exactly what they are saying.

BARBER REUBEN W ;San Diego ;CACAAA 088032 Index to California GLO / BLM Land Patents

SB 0170S 0030E 019 3547 1900/04/26 BARBER REUBEN W Index to Federal Land Records

Interesting but I don't think very useful.

Minerva's daughter Emma married Reuben W. Barber. His second wife Adelle A. Barber born 5/24/1857 and died 4/6/1922 buried in Greenwood Memorial Park San Diego, San Diego County, California. The Barber Mountains were possible named for Reuben Barber as a settler for SD county. Also found a Reuben W. Barber who bought land in San Bernadino County, CA in 1900 (not sure how that fits).
