re ross dague
someone else added all that bio information to the memorial I created - I only added the photos. Unfortunately I have found that lately people are adding things without asking me first to turn over the memorial to them. I never add family info unless I have documentary proof. I do check my ancestry.com account, which is where I got the possible family tree document, but I only ever upload photos and plot numbers if they are listed on the Catholic Cemeteries database.

could you please email me directly smith.2942 at yahoo? I would rather not leave a long public message if possible. Thank you.

By the way, how did you get involved with this particular gravesite family in the first place?

John Halderman #13723726
Hi Margaret....I'm trying to find my gr-gr-grandparents. My gr-grandfather Henry Halderman, mem. #35830650, has been linked to your John. I don't know who made the original link between the two, but was hoping you could give me a little insight as to how they originally got linked. Was it solely based on the census posted in Henry's bio? I'm really struggling to find more to link them than this census. I'm on Ancestry & I've not gotten any other hints that seem at all logical beyond this one census. Needless to say, I'm quite frustrated! Hope you can help!!! Thanks....Lori VerMaas

RE: Alvin D. Hossler 19054489
Hi Margaret,
Calvin Hossler is the correct spouse for Fanny Cora but I note the person maintaining Calvin's memorial is the same person maintaining Fanny Cora and Alvin David Hossler's memorials. I still have not had any luck with a response to my notices to her that she has the wrong spouse.

I am uncomfortable adding a remark with flowers so am trying to figure another way to get this straightened out. Maybe thru Fanny and Calvin's children. Or your making more notations on your memorial.

Take care,
Shirley

Rebecca Davis (m. to Lemuel Allis/Ellis - son of Samuel Allis/Ellis)
Looking for a solid connection for Rebecca/Rebecka Davis Allis/Ellis to her supposed parents, Isaac Davis & Charity Hall, and sibling, Reuben Davis (m. to Mary Polly Abbott). Reuben Davis was born 13 Mar 1764 in Tyringham, Berkshire, Massachusetts, USA & died in 1810 in Pompey, Onondaga, New York. The will for Isaac Davis names wife, Charity, & children Rebecka and Reuben, along with other siblings (John, Sarah, Mary, Soloman/Solomon, Nathan, Charity, & Isaac)), but does not mention any of their married names, spouses, or grandchildren. Also, Truman Leonard mentions Lemuel Allis/Ellis family in his journals with visits and other family history he found (accessed thru BYU Perry Collections). Reuben Davis names his last born, Lemuel Allis/Ellis, as found in his will. My Mother is also a Wing. Thank you! Jackie Coleman otsviolin@gmail.com

Hi Margaret - Thanks for making some new notes on the Memorial. The person who has added Fanny as Alvin's wife has not responded or made any changes so we can't do any more than try to get it corrected as we have done. If I ever find Fanny's husband, Calvin Hossler's grave, I'll link him to Fanny and add their children.

Martha E. Pettie Findling #84633602
Back on Nov 6, 2014, I THOUGHT I left you a detailed message respectfully requesting permission to copy the gravestone photograph for Martha into my Cheadle family tree hard copy. Of course, I got no response, DUH!

Since then, I have been informed that I MUST have WRITTEN PERMISSION of the owner of a photograph in order to thwart possible copyright infringements. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this request. If I do not hear from you in a reasonable length of time I will, of course, withdraw the photograph. Thanks in advance. Jeannine

Thank you for the update on Leatha Watkins memorial. I have deleted the memorial I had for her and suggested updates linking the other memorial to her parents and adding more complete dates to the newer memorial.
