Wrong file posted?
Hi Scrappy,
On memorials for Boyd C. Haygood at # 87218478 and # 43556604 you posted a list of casualties for which his name is not on. Could you either remove the document, or load the correct one, or did I just miss seeing his name?

Are you related to ZJH Liles (Zebedee John Henry Liles) #8344522?

He was my 3 G grandfather. If you are not related to him would you mind transferring his memorial to me? If you are related to him then "Hello Cousin!"

Thank you so very much for taking the time to photograph his grave and sharing this with those of us that do not live close by and cannot visit his grave.

Julia Mason Moore Willingham
Scrappy, thank you very much for posting the memorial for Julia (#86599979), who was my grandfather's sister. I wanted to let you know that her maiden name was Manson, not Mason. First husband was Ernest G Bobbitt, who is buried in Memphis but does not have a findagrave. Second husband was Dr Jason Harvey Moore, #23979959 (she was his 2nd wife and not the mother of his children). Third husband was William Columbus Willingham, as you have noted - she was his third wife and also not the mother of his children. Her brother (my grandfather) was Grover C Manson, who is buried nearby her in Sheffield. Their parents were Joseph and Fannie Manson (#67277633 & #67277607).

Ross Sloan
Aaron T, Clemmons, CSA

I am a historian working on a biography of Basil Edwin Clemons, the grandson of a CSA veteran from Lauderdale County, Alabama named Aaron Thomas Clemmons. He was in the Alabama 9th Infantry during the war.

You had posted that he was captured and ended up at Rock Island; since I haven't found that information anywhere else, I was wondering where you came by it. Not doubting it! It seems entirely likely, but, in what ways I can, I'd like to confirm it.

Please e-mail me at I'm new to Find a Grave and am worried I might miss your reply message on this website.

Thank you,
R. Sloan

James Thomas Beasley
Hi Scrappy,

I have some questions about your CW service notice for my gg-grandfather's FAM, 10057757.

I would appreciate your thoughts on Tom Beasley's CW service record. I have never found a reference to his CW service, although his father (Daniel) and older brother (ER) did serve. I also have never found a "Florida connection" to this family that early on.

You wrote that he was in the 5th FL Calvary from Flemings County, FL. I am unaware of a Flemings County, FL. There is a Fleming Island, FL near Jacksonville. Was Flemings County a dissolved county ?

My James Thomas "Tom" Beasley was born in 1850. Would a 12-13 year old have been in the calvary ?

Also, to my knowledge, Tom Beasley never lived in FL. He seemed to remain in Dale, Barbour, and Coffee County, AL. In 1860, he was living in Barbour.

I am not sure that you have the correct J T Beasley. Do you have any primary (non internet) sources for JT Beasley's CW Service ? It would be a shame if some other Beasley was not credited for his service.

Thank you in advance for reading this long message.

Joshua Moore
Hello! I am a descendant of Joshua Moore. I am his great-great-great grandson. On the memorial page you added about him it says "body lost or destroyed". I was wondering if you could possibly elaborate on that for me. I've been trying to figure out exactly where he is buried, if he is. My email is I appreciate the help, thanks.
