 | RE: Catherine Bergen Hi, there. I actually tried several different angles because the sun went behind a large cloud while I was shooting and that was the best (optimized with iPhoto). I also took a pic of the marker for Abraham M. Way, an old stone lying flat right next to Catherine's marker. I made up a memorial for it & added the pic; same for Catherine's husband (?) Charles Bergen, to her right. If you want me to transfer management of those to you, let me know. BTW, there were nearly a dozen other Way & Bergen markers in the area so I shot them all; I was planning on creating memorials for them & putting the photos on. I'll also transfer those to you if you'd like.Added by Ken B on May 10, 2011 9:52 PM | |

 | Photo of Martha Thompson's grave Thank you so much for taking pictures of Martha Thompson's grave and the sign at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. I appreciate your effort to take the photos. Although Martha was an ancester of mine, I never had the pleasure of meeting her. She died long before I was born. It is good to have something tangible of her, and the photo is that something.Added by cnel on Apr 16, 2011 7:38 PM | |

 | RE: Earl Derr Biggers
Hey Walt.
I've just got off the phone with two very helpful people (Danny and Betty) at Mountain View Cemetery. Their records state that Biggers was cremated there and the ashes "removed". So that would tie in with the information in the new book. I'm going to change the memorial accordingly.
One little thing - I think it was against the law in Los Angeles County during the early 1930s to scatter cremains anywhere except in a cemetery. But that could've been gotten around easily enough, especially if the family had money.
Thanks for the heads up!!
Regards,
BobAdded by Bobb Edwards on Sep 02, 2010 3:48 PM | |

Hi Walt.
Photo requests aren't available for famous memorials. The "competition" for that would get rather hairy, I'm afraid. So instead we rely on contributor initiative for famous grave pics and indeed we receive new ones from around the world every day.
I have faith that most of Find A Grave's celebrity subjects, including Mr. Biggers, will eventually have that documentation.

 | RE: ALfred Lankenau I have corrected the death date for Alfred. Although I don't recall asking that a duplicate for him be removed, if I did so, it was because mine was entered before the other one. Feel free to leave flowers on the memorial I have place. Or if you like, I can transfer ownership of this memorial.Added by William Taber on Apr 03, 2010 7:33 PM | |
