You need to delete one of your entries for James. It has been entered twice.

Thank you

Liza McElyea
Now after all that, I go back and see that James Preston McElyea, did indeed have a sister named Eliza McElyea. I am totally lost now. I have no information on her. Sorry. I hope I did not confuse you too much. I doubt that this Eliza is buried at Tecula though, although you never know. I have been all over that cemetery many times and she does not have a marker under the McElyea name, but might under some other name. Sorry I wasn't more help. Elaine (P.S. If you find out anything, please let me know)

Eliza McElyea
It finally hit me who I believe you are referring to. Yes, on the census, Eliza ("Liza" as she was known to us) does have the name Eliza McElyea, but she was a White by birth. She was the daughter of Sarah Grimes White McElyea (my great grandmother) and Leonidas White of Tecula. They had two children when Leonidas died. My great grandmother then married James Preston McElyea and Liza used the McElyea name. It is her father, Leonidas White, who is said to have been buried outside the fence in Tecula and his grave is lost. I show that Liza married Wiley Marshall. I cannot find a death certificate for her. If you find anything else on her, please let me know. I am not sure if this helps you or not. Elaine

RE: mcElyea and King family's of Whitehouse and Teluca Texas
Okay, I'm sorry, William Carroll McElyea is my gg grandfather. I could not find him last night. Now what is your question? I'm not sure who you are looking for. My info tells me that McElyea himself is probably buried somewhere around Larissa, not Tecula. I don't know if this is correct. Elaine

RE: mcElyea and King family's of Whitehouse and Teluca Texas
My grandmother was a McElyea, however, I don't know of a William Carroll McElyea or the King family in Whitehouse. I have lived here in Whitehouse all my life, but I do not know of them. I'm sure there must be some link, since I have McElyea family buried in Tecula, Jacksonville and Mixon. Sorry I cannot help. If you get any more information, please let me know and I will try to help. Elaine

Hi Patty.
We have been under a few inches to several feet of snow since before last Thanksgiving so I haven't signed onto my account for months. As the spring weather arrives I will be going back out to take some photos. Sue

RE: Predmore -Decker Cemetery look up
There are already photo requests for your relatives at Deckertown. They've been there quite a while and haven't been filled yet. I know I did look for them in 2007 when I was there.
I would suggest contacting the cemetery to verify they are there, they have stones, and their location. That would help a lot. As I recall it's not a small cemetery.
