Thank you for linking him to his father. There is a great Civil War story about him in Chapter 11 of, "The Pariss Sims Family and Related Families 1765-1965." And you can download the book for free if you want to read about him. He was born in a log cabin. Thanks for the link

I simply wanted to thank you for this awesome legacy you are leaving for generations to come. I am trying to find my Civil war relatives which seems to be overwhelming as a beginner. It is refreshing and encouraging to find this kind of information.

|Lori Sowell Tolson||Andrew Jackson Sowell|
John, just wanted to say thank you for the listing of my ancestor, Andrew Jackson Sowell. I was prompted to do an internet search for him after watching The Alamo on Starz yesterday, and after reading through the history listed on his page, realized that there is a scene in the movie that depicts AJ Sowell being sent off for reinforcements, just you stated!! The actor even looks like the picture of AJ Sowell you have posted. Thank you for all you have done for our country, and for continuing to contribute to educating us about our forefathers who have contributed to where we are today.

|Brigitte Tucker-Ford||Al Wilson|
Thanks a million for getting back to me so quickly regarding the great soul singer, Al Wilson's burial location. I really appreciate that!
I will check with the cemetery office this week and ask them if Mr. Wilson has a headstone. I searched the given location of his stated plot and there was nothing to mark the spot. I think the person that added him to the veterans cemetery was mistaken. I too checked the online Evergreen database and saw that Mr. Wilson is indeed buried at Evergreen.
Thanks again for all that you have done for this site.
I will let you know what I uncover.

Just went through your Virtual Cemetery of Actor Favs. Saw so many old actors that I had not thought about in years. Really enjoyed seeing the photos and reading about them. Thanks for putting it together.

Thanks for linking his parents! No relation of mine, so no need for a transfer. I went to this cemetery looking for photo requests today and realized many memorials weren't listed, so I just clicked away with my camera! I have many to add, but thought it was important to include the families! :)

Thank you. Rich was a very good friend of mine. I would see him when I was out at Pearl for the memorial services. We would sit and talk for hours. He was living history to me. He's a great loss to what is out there. Thanks very much.

Thanks, John. Wallace is only distantly related. His father would be my great grand uncle so a transfer isn't necessary, although I appreciate you asking. I'm just trying link all my Johnson ancestors together.

I have just read several of your bios on WWI and II heroes. We enjoyed them very much. My husband was in Viet Nam from 1972-73. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1970. Your work is well done in all aspects of research!
Thanks for doing such a good job! Cheryl
