Elma Best

"Thank You" so much for locating their headstone for me and taking the time to photograph it for me. In the past year I put together my half brother side of the family which Gilbert & Elma would have been his aunt and uncle. Do you have any means of finding out when Gilbert died, do you know the care taker of the cemetery and check their records? We live down in Kirksville, Mo and need to make a trip up there to the library, what would the closet town that would have micro-film of the newspaper near Numa? If you talk with the caretaker could you see if there were any other Best buried there?

RE: Paso or Pasa
Yeah it's a tough one but those two Pasa/Pasos were actually someone else's memorial contribution - one Andrew Paisley. A private family tree (of the same name) has a note that there was a name change somewhere to/from Pasa - Paso. I would say leave the edit up to Andrew and let him figure it out. I will leave it up to you to add a Victor memorial page or not (birth date was unfortunately hidden in the photo but I think it was 1901), but since Andrew might know more then he would have more accurate info than me. It's complicated by the fact there is another different Victor Pasa in a nearby Centerville, IA cemetery too (Oakland Cemetery). Thank you in any event!

Numa Cemetery work
Excellent work at Numa Cemetery today sir. The Pasa instead of Paso marker throws me but it all seems right. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

RE: Vesta Hall Sanders
Hi Ron,
We have done a bit more research and found Alex and Mary J Hall are Vesta's parents. Louvena Hall was Alex's second wife. They are all included on the same stone. We checked census and death records and found the info. We have no clue how or where Vesta passed. Bill was told possibly a car wreck in Pa.
Thanks for your help.

K Propps
Cora Bailey Propps
When you were at the Busby Cemetary and photographed Donald Propps, do you know if they had added the headstone for Cora Bailey Propps? She died in 2013 and somehow her headstone never got placed. My family was working on making sure it got taken care of. Please advise if you remember and thank you for taking the time to photograph this important history for everyone!
