Hugh Steers
I would like permission to use your photos of the Hugh Steers grave site in my personal family tree. It is not viewed by the general public, only family members. He is a 3rd Greandfather of my brother-in-law Ryan Ford. I will credit it to you. Thanks so much for adding the photos to his memorial. He is buried in a pretty unique place to say the least.

I am researching the grandparents of Ms. Brown, William Vandervort Low and Annie Victoria Cowan. I have seen several memorials you have set up for members of the families. I see in your bio on Ms. Brown that she was survived by a sister, Christine Crook. Do you have any further info on the sister? I found a marriage license for a Rosa Christine Leverette to Samuel Blake Cook Jr. from the Greenville Co. Courthouse records 1910-2010 on #1944-2328 dated 8/21/1944.

RE: Nelson Swango
Yes, I am directly related to Nelson Sleet Swango, he is my cousin. (The remark about not being related was made by the person that turned the memorial over to me).

I moved to Colorado after my dad died, for nearly 6 years and lost touch with Nelson's family. Even my step-sister didn't know where they were. My mom died in 1988 and I just stopped looking. I realize that sounds strange, but it's the truth.

My brother tried to stay in touch, but after the farm burned, and Aunt Edith passed, we had nothing to go on. We lost touch with Peggy Ann and her family also. I ran into Shaun back in the early 1990's, but haven't heard from them since.

It's a shame that we have never connected after all these years, and I would like to find them. If by chance I do, I will let you know.

RE: Peter Ringo...
I have a couple Ringo(s) in my family data but not a Peter Ringo. My husband's aunt was named Gladys Ringo and her husband was Raymond C. Ringo - son of Robert H. and Ethel L. Carlton Ringo.

Thank you for trying to find Lydia's headstone, we have no idea if there is even one there, since she died in 1839. We hope there is one and in good shape. Good luck.

I apologize for the lateness of this response - I simply missed your inquiry. Sorry.

My Mother, Betty Taylor Cook is on the cover of my book.

RE: Amanda Huey
Thanks for the compliment to my mother.

As I mentioned re the Huey Memorials, I think these are duplicates of existing Memorials, so I will get in touch with the prior Memorialist.

So, what's then news in Union? (You can answer me off the website:

RE: Amanda Huey
You asked who is on the cover of my book?

That is my mother, Elizabeth Huey Taylor Cook (1918-2000). Her mother was Nan Elizabeth Huey Taylor, daughter of Sarah Crouch and James A. Huey of Union.

Hey Ms Match,

No prob doing a transfer. Here's how:

1. Go to the Memorial you want to transfer.

2. Look at the upper part of the page - where it says TRANSFER MANAGEMENT

Past #47181028 in the box. (That's my ID number.)

That ought to do it. If you need help, let me know.

Thanks for helping preserve our family members, who have gone before us.

RE: old man Huey...
How nice to hear from you!

Yes, my great grandfather Huey was well known in Boone Co and enjoyed many friendships in and around Union KY. I knew him as a very old man - nearly deaf, but with a good sense of humor. I have noted that Highland Cemetery is in Kenton Co, KY. Thanks for this correction.

I just posted a request re this Memorial. But I think yours is a duplicate Memorial of one created a few months previously. If you want to transfer yours to me, I will accept but I doubt I will post a bio, as someone else is maintaining a Memorial to Amanda Gaines Huey.

In any case, I am grateful for your efforts in photographing and memorializing these treasured graves.

Amanda Huey
First of all, thanks VERY MUCH for tracking down the resting places of our ancestors. You are doing a great service for many grateful people.

Amanda Huey (Amanda Gaines Huey (Dec 13 1821-June 3 1895) is my double great grandmother. Her son was James Addison Huey (1862-1861), my great grand father, whom I knew.

If you are inclined to do so, I will accept the memorial of Amanda Gaines Huey and post a brief biography of her.

In any case, thanks very much for all that you do.

Huey Photo Request in Big Bone
Hi, just wanted to let you know the picture has already been taken. He was not aware of that. I had already taken a picture of every Huey stone a while back. Lucy had a mistake on Samuel and he did not realize that her Samuel and his Samuel were the same. Hopefully I saved you an unneccessary trip.

Ephraim Aylor grave
I'm so sorry. I didn't realize anyone else was looking for the Aylor grave until I already claimed it, then I felt just horrible. I had already communicated w/ Mary the day we received the e-mail & I found the grave the same day. The Aylor Cemetery was right in the middle of Hwy 18, so the entire cemetery must have been moved some time ago.
All the best,
