I have made all the connections required. I agree it must have been so terrible to have lost so many.

Are they in your family tree?

RE Pic of Charlie Mayhall
You are more than welcome to use the pic on your website! I wish others would share as exasperating to be on and come across a relative only to find the photos are marked private. I have the original photo. It is a tin type and it is just as you see it. E A Davis photo tent is inscribed in the board backing of the picture. The faded writing on the back of the photo reads about 1895 Mr & Mrs Charlie Mayhall (Charlie & Liza) mothers sister.

RE: Cartwright Cemetery - Montgomery County
Hi Lisa,

I didn't see the other cemetery listing when I was doing that project. It was my first entire cemetery (well, almost the entire cemetery).... I worked with the Montgomery county coordinators of the TxWebGen to get that one completed. I can see why it's got multiple listings, since it goes by alternate names - Rabon, Raban, Rabun, Cartwright and Sunday... wow, how confusing can you get?

I looked at the William Cartwright pics, and I think it looks great.

Have you done any research on Lemuel Cartwright? I tried multiple times to get a birth/death year, and just couldn't fine it.

I think he was born about 1835 - 1840

Nancry Caroline Thomasson Rea # 53645059
I wanted to ask you about Nancy Caroline Thomasson, wife of Charles Redfield Rea.

From your bio, I believe this may be someone of your family and if not, you are the one who submitted the memorial and so I would still ask you. My family line is with the Rea family and I have been working on it and have been adding to it. When doing so, I always check Find A Grave to see if I can find any additional information. I would like to ask your permission to copy what you have listed about Nancy and her family, including that she was admitted to the State Hospital. I do not mean any disrespect to it, but I feel that by having that in the information on the family tree on Ancestry, that it would clear up right away and guessing as to what happened, whether divorce, abandonment, or other issues that someone could come up with. I have noticed in the census following her leaving the family, that Charles was listed as a "widower" and I'm sure that given the time period he was living, that was easier than admitting the truth.
I assure you I will respect your wishes and not include anything that I do not have your permission. Any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for the work that you have done, what a wonderful contribution you have made!! Staci Pollard

RE: Thomas Jefferson Myers
Hi again Lisa. Just wanted to reply to all your questions. I now live in Lubbock after retiring from the Post Office in Odessa. Our grandchildren are here so we moved about two years ago. Sylvia and I exchanged family research a lot after I wrote her a letter requesting Myer family info. She was VERY kind to me and seemed to be a real southern lady. I am sorry for your family's lost. She was an excellent researcher.
I have been doing family research for over three years now and love it! My wife says I have a illness that has no cure. My daughter is the one who really prompted me to get into it. She wanted to know if the family had any Irish in it and I could not answer. So I started digging and the rest is history.
You are correct...T.J. Jefferson is buried in Chalk Cemetery in Walker Co. See there I go again with crossing my facts! Please forgive my old age and old memory. Oliver Cromwell Lane is buried in the remote cemetery site out of Trinity that I mentioned. Oliver was the father of Elizabeth Lane...wife of Willis Jefferson Myers.

Lisa I wonder if you have any old Myers family photos you would be willing to share? I think having a photo of a person just brings their history and life alive again. And is always a goal of mine.

Wishing you and yours a blessed Easter and God bless. Jim Ford

Thomas Jefferson Myers
Lisa I might also mention Thomas Jefferson Myers. Last year I had a findagrave volunteer go out to the Trinity Co. grave site of T.J. Myers to obtain a headstone photo. She failed because the private owner of the land only gives access to the grave site twice a year. She was going to return the first of this year to try again, but she and her husband were killed in an auto accident! Perhaps, in the future, some day this will happen before the grave stones disappear or are destroyed. Just thought you might like to know.

RE: Thomas Jefferson Myers
Thank you Lisa for pointing out my error. It has been changed to correctly reflect the facts. I was aware of the facts, but got confused with the similar names (which I struggled with all the time in my family research). I have,to date, over 3,600 names in my family tree, and it is beginning to over come my ability to keep all the facts straight. I am always grateful when family isn't shy about pointing out my errors (I WELCOME them). If I have offended your husband through my error, in any way, I apologize.

Yes, I am familiar with the Copelands in Overton Co., TN. I think the Stewart and Copeland families were very close.

Louisa Cass Thomasson
I added Louisa's parents to her memorial. Any other additions, corrections, just let me know. I have been pretty busy. We made our move from PA to CA about 5 months ago. Lots to keep me busy here! Not to much time for family research.

I had gotten confused when I was out photographing the famous one, but someone (you?) had already posted them.

I don't think we have any newspapers from that time period. There were a few obits. from 1889 and 1889, then it jumps to 1897. I started with the earliest ones and am up to 1903. It is slow work and my typing leaves a lot to be desired! Do you live in Burnet?

RE: Rand Headstones

We did take some views of the cemetery and haven't put them out yet. Hopefully I will get them out in the next few weeks. I have such a back log of photos to work on. We were dropping our youngest off to college in New Hampshire and took a look to see what was in the area for cemeteries. I took around 55 photos, so if you know of anyone else you may need, let me know and I will see if I have photos for you and if not I will get them the next time we visit the daughter at college.

RE: Babb Headstones
I did find two John Babb steones. I didn't know which you wanted but one is the father of the other. So, I took all of the Babb stones in that plot. All of these Babbs are in different sections and not just one family section.

I hope this helps.

Lenord J Pierce
Do you still have the photos and documents you posted for Lenord J Pierce? Can you move the photos?
His memorial should be posted in Fairview Cemetery, not Fairview-Campbell. I'm in the process of moving a few inhabitants from Fairview-Campbell to Fairview.

If you go to the Greenville city web site you can go to maps and download a PDF of the graves in springwood. The two you requested were together and I ran across the other in another section. Just let menknow who you want pics of and I'll take them for you

RE: Rand Headstone

I wish the quality of the photo was much better. It was a rough day with the type of stone and the sun didn't help either. I also took individual photos for the other markers in that lot if you want to request them I would be more than glad to fulfill them. They were Sarah, Frances, Lydia and Thomas.

RE: Rosie Price
You are most welcome. I hope the photos are satisfactory and readable. That is the largest stone in the cemetery and has several names on each side. There were a few small stones as well but only with initials on them. And there was none with Rosie's initials. It is a beautiful. small cemetery and exceptionally well-maintained. A fitting final resting place.
