Oh! That is so unfortunate. I know of a few cases of that in Tyler County, but the landowners actually own up to it and will let you view the discarded stones. Such a shame!
Thanks for the help!
(P.S. could you possibly add a map feature for the cemetery?) Thnaks!

Are you sure this is the same cemetery I'm talking about? I'm talking about the Old Bailey Cemetery. It only appears that there are a few graves there, and only one appears to be marked.
I appreciate you trying to hewlp me in my search!

Was wondering if you could tell me how to get to this cemetery and how many stones you found there. Was there just the one?

Ken, I will delete the two that you put in earlier than I did, and try to connect all to them as possible. We don't need duplicates.

I am connected to your family through the Frums. I just sent you a message in error, suggesting that you add the story about Ida's traggic accident, but now I see you already have done so. My apologoies. I love to share information and "meet" others with West Virginia roots. I also respectfully request permission to use photos of relatives and their headstones, to add to my family tree on Geni.com.

Ken, I see you took some grave markers photos at the Wequetequock Cemetery in Stonington, CT. I am wondering if you could tell me if all legible grave markers have been photographed. We are in the area and are thinking of visiting the cemetery for some of our family's Palmer relatives, but would not go if they don't have markers we could read. There are some Palmers with photos, but some without. Thanks for your input.

If you send me your home address I will copy what I have of the Bowman's and send it to you. It's easier for me this way. It's to much to me to email.
A lot of the Bowman information is in the old archives Fayette County, Pa. message board.

I don't have the burial place for Elias Oliver Bowman parents, Elias Oliver b. abt 1810-1812, d. bet. 1860-1867,and Catherine Smith Bowman b. btw.1814-1815, d. bet. 1860-1867.
But I do know who Elias Oliver Bowman parents are: Elias Oliver Bowman b. abt. 1782 and Sarah were b. NJ, according to the 1850 Census in Grant District,Preston County, VA/WV. The removed from Fayette County, Pa to Preston County. I haven't been able to locate a burial place for them.
Catherine Smith Bowman mother was Nancy Smith according to a petition in June 1867 for custody of the underage children of Catherine and Elias Oliver Bowman by Jacob Bowman.
Elias b. abt. 1782 parents are George b. bef. 1855, d. bef. Nov. 1817 and Mary Bowman, had land on Hazel Run, Monongalia County, VA/WV.
If anyone knows were these Bowman's are buried let me know.

|Kim||Finally finding Family|
Thanks so much for all your research and hard work.
I am the granddaughter of Edward and Gertrude Byerely.
Their son Edward Jr. Was my biological father. I just found out yesterday in my search for him that he passed away in 1987. Words can not express my disappointment at not ever being able to meet my father or grandparents .... But it helps to see some of their history. My hope from here is to as least find some Aunts or cousins or distant relatives. So the search goes on. Wondering what your link to them is?
Again thanks for all you work & I am in Pittsburgh , Pa so If I can assist any one in tracking family in this area please don't hesitate to contact me.
