Thank you! I really just wanted to be sure her info was updated, I have no pressing need for a transfer. Thanks so much!

That's what's nice about being and American, everybody has a right to their opinion. The rub is when one person attempts to force their opinion upon others.

Sure, however I don't see a transfer option in the edit tab?? Thanks

Thanks so much

|P. Eadie||RE: Ruth Price|
Ruth Yerkes is buried in the Price Family Vault. The first picture is the entire lot with the entrance to the vault (the white top). Ruth's information is inscribed on the left hand side of the vault. The second picture is her inscription on the vault. I hope this helps with your questions. Pat

Hi Rosalie Ann,
We took photos of The Yerkes Family Mausoleum today and I would like to upload them to the Find A Grave memorial site but Find A Grave only allows 5 photos per site. I would like to show you these photos. Please advise. Pat

I saw the picture you took of the plaque commemorating Joan Rosita McGrath (Rosita Forbes).
Is the plaque attached to Rosita Forbes' actual grave?

I too have similar questions.
Have you asked represented the question to Ancestry? If so, what was their response?
Personally, I wish Ancestry/FindaGrave would clarify this issue instead of allowing it to remain open to many interpretations.
It is confusing to me.

I don't have a specific date, but think it would've been between 1853-1857, since Eppy remarried in Jan 1858. If the bdate on Dollie's inscription is correct, and it seems to be since she's 1 in the 1860, she wouldn't Margaret's daughter. Guess I wasn't paying close attention when someone sent that info.

|D. Meserole||RE: Corte Koethof|
I think it did delete it off of two of three memorials.
I think that the 3 people listed on that stone, from top to bottom, are:
Margaretha Cornelia Kolthof, # 166383192
Maria de Jong, # 164437212
Marina Elizabeth de Wence, # 164437213
Margaretha Cornelia Kolthof, # 166383192, has both a close up and a full stone photo very similar to the one that was on Corte Koethof, so if you cannot find the original easily, you could use the full stone photo from this memorial.
Maria de Jong, # 164437212, has only a close up photo, so the full stone photo got deleted.
Marina Elizabeth de Wence, # 164437213, this is from the bottom of the stone where it is hard to read. I identified her by only her middle name and DOB & DOD. There are no photos on her memorial, when you open it up, so the photo(s) got deleted (but the photo icon remains on the list)
Since the full stone is so hard to read at the bottom, it might be reasonable to mention that Maria Elizabeth de Wence is on the same stone as Margaretha Cornelia Kolthof and Maria de Jong. Or something to that effect.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your email.
Because it DOES look like there are two headstones for the same family, one in white, one in black.
I am sorry but I will not be able to sort this out.
I will be flying to America this weekend for a 4 weeks trip.
If you can get the cemetery to give you an explanation that would be great!

You sent me some information about duplicates that may have been made of memorials of mine.
Thank you for that.
I will check things - like the correct spelling and other info - and get back to you.
I have just returned from a trip so it may take a few days.
If you like you can contact me by email firstname.lastname@example.org

|Dennis Vliet||RE: Dutch surnames|
Thanks for the information. I suspect it is not just Dutch surnames that are corrupted. Here is what I think: Find-A-Grave needs to do something about this. There does not appear to be a way to contact their webmaster. It looks like F.A.G. wants the memorial contributor's to sort it out and police the database for errors and duplication; good luck with that! We cannot do it. In my opinion, the F.A.G. webmaster should design or buy a Boolean type program that totals the complete name parts into the whole name, then it filters and sorts the first, middle, and last names correctly as we contributors upload their names in real time. If you know how to contact Find A Grave, feel free to forward this to them if you agree.

I would like to know how you managed to receive credit for writing his biography. I made his memorial and did a biography. If there were things you wished to add I would have been happy to do it and thanked you for your consideration.
I am a direct descendant of Thomas Gerrard and will contact Find A Grave to remove your name from my memorial or if you can remove it yourself then let me know. I don't believe you can.
