RE: Anna Belle Adams
Debbie I talked to Carol yesterday & she said that Anna Belle (she kept calling her Annie) was the d/o Bertha Adams Blevins. In her younger days, she spent a lot of time in Lewis Co with her grandparents, Fred & Margaret. She said the Adams bunch were pretty wild. There were children produced through "affairs" & so on.

RE: Anna Belle Adams
I had added Fred's death cert to his memorial & have the same info but hoping Carol can find the paperwork as Fred is her grandfather. She's said it was a strange situation.

Anna Belle Adams
My computer went "goofy" before I finished. I question Jonathan Hamilton being at the Adams Cem as found no marker & he died fairly recently. Also - check the informant on Anna Belle Adams (the older one) & you'll see that it was her daughter Margaret that married Fred. She has Margaret Williams. Fred was born in Sanders, Ky. Also trying to find any info on Samantha Gilliam. She as no dates on her stone.

Anna Belle Adams
Debbie
I refused your edit on Anna Belle for now. I know the 1920 census has her the d/o James & Anna Belle but so was Opal Adams Watts. According to my cousin's wife, Carol (the grand daughter of Margaret & Fred Adams), Opal was the d/o Bertha. I have put a call in to the Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg who handled the funeral & they are searching their records. She knew all her great aunts & uncles but need to question her about Anna Belle. Tried today but she wasn't home. There's also a story behind Margaret & Fred as "he" was a Williams & changed his last name to Adams??? Carol is trying to find paperwork she had about it. I will post that no marker was found on the ones that I created. I photographed the entire cem & if there was a maker, I took it's picture. Bertha Adams Blevins had no marker also. I question whetherH Jonathan Hamilton Hamil

RE: John Adams
Thanks for the info on John. Found many different dates on those in the Adams Cem. The biggest is Anna Belle Adams (1922 -d-4-20-1994). From 1920 census records, she was born in 1916 but the metal funeral home sign has 1922.

Robert Davenport
Debbie,

Thank you so much for the correct information on Robert Marshall Davenport. I can't believe I entered the wrong date of death. Robert is my grandfather (not biological). My grandmother married Robert after her divorce from my grandfather. Robert was the only grandfather we ever knew. Everyone called him 'Pappy.' I don't remember him because he died when I was only 5 years old, but my mom and my Uncle William kept his memory alive for all of us.

John G Jarrell
I received a request to change John's middle initial from G to Gibson. What do you have as proof that his middle name is Gibson? I will gladly update it if I know how it was verified. I am having problems finding any records that show his middle name to be Gibson. Thank you!
Debbie

Elizabeth Scott (Abbott)
Hi Debbie, Ive just started my family tree and have been working on it for a couple of months. Ive been able to trace my ancestry back to Elizabeth Scott, who "married" John Abbott in 1822. It seems we may come from the same heritage. You mentioned that you liked helping people and I would love some help in further identifying everyone. Maybe we could compare notes, although mine is pretty limited at this time. Right now I have that Elizabeth Scott married John Abbott. They had 17 children, one who was named Frances Scott. Frances married William Kirby and had a daughter Cora Kirby. Cora married John Huddleston and had a daughter Louise Huddleston. Louise was my paternal grandmother. Do you show us as related?

Lester Michael
Redman Family
Hello Debbie Scott,
Thank You for all of your time and dedication to posting for find-a-grave.

I am interested in the birth/death information provided for John William Redman and Mary Isabel Redman buried in the Montgomery Memorial Park of WV. There are no pictures of their tomb marker.

Also in Jacksonville, FL the birth/death information given for Louie Miller. Her tomb marker is next to her husband but only the year is shown on the marker. Mark Miller and Louie Miller are buried in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Thank You...

RE: Location of Hale Cemetery
OK, Debbie, I got a bit excited when I saw you had added a grave site to the Hale Cemetery. We simply can't find this graveyard and the funeral home has gone out of business (the burial occurred in the 1940's). Thanks for letting me know.

Location of Hale Cemetery
Hello Debbie, I am Judith Sharp, daughter of Eunice Honrine Bailey. My grandmother Flora Cook Honrine lived at Racine for many years. Her son and my uncle Robert 'Tubby' Honrine was buried at Hale Cemetery. My brother and I want to visit his grave but we cannot find the cemetery. Would you be able to help us with directions?

Spicy Scott
Hi Debbie: Ive proven my barker line (through DAR) Ive been to the Barker cemeteries, the one on Roundbottom in Peytona and the other larger one in Ashford.

Do you know of any source documents to prove that Spicys maiden name was Scott. Ive been unabe to find any acceptable proofs for this. the 1850 annotated census by david turner lists Spicy married to Isaac Barker as they daughter of _____ and _____ Scott. Theres no source cited for his work so its not an acceptable proof.

Anything youve got will be appreciated. Thanks.

PS Think were cousins? Ive done DNA thru FtDNA and Ancestry.

Sharon Cemetery
Hello Debbie,
I am traveling to WV from NC and looking for directions to Sharon Cemetery. My great grandmother America Jane Stone is buried there along with Thomas Barker Stone who died at birth. I am looking for my grandmother's plot Irene Shanklin Stone but have been unable to locate and felt she may be buried at the same cemetery. The pictures appear that it is small and may sit off the road. If you could provide the name of the road and area, I would greatly appreciate it.
