Elwood School Teachers Virtual Cemetery
Hi Terry,

I lived just outside Elwood in Brown Circle (the Army housing village) in the late 60s and attended Elwood School. I was looking up some teachers (Mrs. Schweizer, whom I adored, and Mrs. Postlewait) from when I went there and was pleased to find your virtual cemetery. I'm a Findagrave volunteer, too, but had forgotten about these virtual cemeteries! Thanks for creating yours.

RE: Frank Perconte Memorial
Thanks Terry,
If you want to add the photo back with the description of just the photo, that's fine. I just always like to have a confirmation on hand for the authors. Thanks again.

Ronald Mau
Burton T Walsh
Terry I see on your Find-A-Grave site you have a listing of former Mayors of Elwood,Il. I am interested in the years that Burton T Walsh served as Mayor of Elwood. He is related to me thru marriage. His wife Sylvia nd my mother were cousins. So thru Ancestry,to me he was the husband of 1st cousin 1x removed. Sop if you have the years I sure would appreciate them to put with my family info. I could also give you some dates on his Find A Grave site. Or if you wish to transfer them to me I will maintain them. Burton's # is 14568695 and Sylvia's is 19734211. My Find-A-Grave # is 47027758. Habve been a member for 4 years now. Thank You Ron Mau

Tarence Foster
Thank you so much for the help. I was given mis-information and thanks to you have made the correction. If you still have it, I would very much like you to post the photo you had. While it's similiar to the one someone else posted, the one you have is much nicer.
Thanks again. Kind regards, Diane

Gordon Richards - Oakwood Cem., Wilmington
Hi Terry. At your convenience, would you make the following revisions/additions/relationships to the record of Gordon Richards (Record #27672025). My "Uncle Doc" was born 18 Jul 1914 in Manhattan (Will County) and died 19 Dec 1988 in Wilmington. He married Evelyn S. Tanck in 1944.

Aunt Evelyn is also buried at Oakwood, and I have added her record to Find-a-Grave (Record #64784131). She was born 18 Aug 1917 in WI and died 19 Jun 2000 in Wilmington.

My grandparents (Gordon's mother & father) are buried at Oakwood in Joliet. I have records for both of them. Richard Given Richards (Record #64783723) and Maude Elizabeth Laraway Richards (Record #64783822).

Thank you!

Re: James Harvey ADAMS, Jr
You posted a picture of the back of James' marker stone (Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery) that was taken before his wife, Geraldine, was interred. I posted a new picture (taken June 22, 2010) with his wifes side of the memorial engraved. Please remove the picture you uploaded.

Don H. Morrison
Looking for relatives
My name is Don Morrison & I am also a contributor to I added a picture to Brown's Church Cemetery--the sign that is posted at the entrance to the lane back to the cemetery, whichlists it only as Brown Cemetery. Can you inform me of the correct name for the cemetery?
Also, I am writing you on behalf of Mary-Ann Augusta(nee)Baugh Cateforis who is attempting to locate, if possible, living relatives of the Linebargers. She is the granddaughter of Harley & Lillian Linebarger and the great, great, great granddaughter of John Linebarger, who had four sons: Henry, Lewis, John, and Andrew
