| Calvary You've put in request(s) at Calvary in Cleveland. Several of us are working to clear the more than 730 requests. With 400,000 burials and 300 acres, if you could please obtain plot information AND a plot map one of us will be more likely to be able to fill the request, as the office will only give out a little information to each person. The office phone number is (216) 641-7575. On my page I have the plot maps listed that we already have.
You can try to tell them you'll be visiting when they're closed, etc. So far everyone who's called has been successful in having a map mailed. If you get one let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. With thousands of graves per section a plot map would be VERY helpful. Without plot information it's basically impossible.
Thanks!

| Martin B. Gauby You have put a photo of the same marker on duplicate memorials in different cemeteries. One of the memorials, most certainly, is in the wrong cemetery. The way it is looks very confusing. Maybe if you let the person know that has the memorial in the wrong cemetery so they can delete it, it would clear up the puzzlement. Thanks for your help, MikeAdded by Mike Dearbaugh on Jan 18, 2013 10:00 AM | |

| RE: Bessie Kenney Lu,
I searched the Loudon Park records for more Gontrums and found a few more pieces of information:
1. W.C. Gontrum is buried in Section YY along with Bessie Kenney and the other Gontrums. He was buried on August 15, 1907 at the age of 71. His grave is either unmarked or has a marker that is illegible.
2. Records indicate that Charles, Mary, Mamie, and William Gontrum are buried in Section N, Plot 54. This plot belongs to the Garing family and the only Gontrum in evidence is Mary F. Gontrum who died in 1892 at age 29. Let me know if you think she is connected to your family and I will create memorials and upload photos for everyone at that plot. I can also get burial dates and ages for the other Gontrums supposedly buried there.
Regards, Joe

| Prass Relations They are my G-Grandfather's Brother's children (and Grandchild, in the case of Jan Lee). I bear the same last name, and seem to be the only one in the U.S. keeping track of this particular branch that stemmed from the 1840s immigration from Germany.
I would be happy to have the transfers, if you'd like, as I'm also holding a few others, hoping to someday link them up with any present-day descendants who might show up here.Added by Chuck X on Dec 17, 2012 3:26 PM

| Prass Updates & Links Lulu, I just sent some Updates and Links via the tab for George Prass and his brother Richard Prass. They were the sons of Charles & Anna Belle [Borden] Prass. Finally getting around to linking these parts of the John Prass family in Ohio.
Charles had two sons with his first wife, Maude May Dove, which were Beryl Newton & John Alpheus. There were 3 children by his second wife, Anna Belle Borden (who was the widow of a fellow named Saylor). I am unable to locate their daughter, Frances Barbara [Prass] Rice (1913-1990). Her spouse was William R. Rice (1914-1976). Both are listed on the SS Death Index as death in Montgomery County, but neither are apparently on F-A-G.
Thanks for updating & links in advance !Added by Chuck X on Dec 17, 2012 4:17 AM

| RE: Bessie Kenney Lu,
The other Gontrum memorials and photos have been uploaded. I'm not sure how to piece together the relationships; it looks like there might be one of Bessie's siblings, Bessie's mother, and her mother's siblings. All of the siblings died in childbirth.
Let me know if you would like me to transfer these to you.

Jan Bos from Nijmegen, Holland
| Pvt Paul North Private Paul North was a paratrooper with B Battery 376th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division. Paul North was riding a trooptrain in North Africa, heading for their staging area in Tunisia, Paul was knocked off the roof of a train carriage and fell under the train. He bled to death. he was first buried in the temporary American CONSTANTINE Cemetery in grave 45-177A. After the war his remains were repatriated and buried in the Sugare Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio.
I have written a book about the 376th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion. It is available on a DVD, can I have your permission to use the picture you took of his grave for my book, titled "Circle and the Fields of Little America".
thank you
