Ah, and so it is, I.e. a cenotaph. I only learned that word some time ago, and since I never came across one in ordinary genealogy (until this one), I'd forgotten to consider that that was what it was. .

I fulfilled the photo request for her husband's marker. Her name is not on the stone. Do you want me to add the photo to her page and you can put a note on her page saying that? Or do you want to remove the request?

|Nancy Y Parker||Coward Cemeteries on Caney Fork NC|
FYI: On F-A-G, there should be 4 Coward Cemeteries on Caney Fork: Coward, Old Coward, Upper Coward (2 ducks), and Lower Coward. Someone has combined the first 3, and thrown in some Lower Coward burials under the name "Coward (also known as Upper Coward) as if they were one cemetery. Lower Coward entries still seem to be OK.

|Vicki Bullard||RE Louisa Gwaltney|
Hello there, we each seem to have memorials for the same person, Louisa Gwaltney born 1815 died 10 Apr 1894. Your Louisa is buried in Hopewell in Burke County (#16856372) and mine is buried in Hopewell in Alexander County (111478399). I noticed that you have the memorial for her father as well, Nathan Gwaltney buried in Hopewell in Alexander County. In addition, other members of her family appear in the Alexander County Cemetery. My info came from a cemetery survey located at the State Archives. I was wondering about your source. Do you think it is possible that her body was moved to or from Burke County for some reason? I have found that is something that sometimes happens in order to bring family together in one place. Either way, I'm thinking one of these memorials should be deleted or a note of explanation should be attached to each referencing the other. What do you think about it all?

|Tracirose||Chason Family Cemetery|
I am looking for some of my relatives and am wondering if there are more graves in the cemetery than what is posted so far. I have been trying to determine if a James Chason 1831-1902 is buried here wife either his first wife, Leachy Roberts Chason or his 2nd wife Mary Elizabeth. I have memorials already set but just need to find the cemetery. If you could help that would be appreciated :o)

I just posted a photo for Horace H Foot in the Haywood Cemetery in Mercer. His wife doesn't have a memorial yet but you posted additional information on his page.
They are both listed on the same stone so feel free to use the photo for her memorial too.

|Cindy F||Robert Wilson|
I have posted a picture of him, even though the middle name is James rather than John.I also included a picture of the cemetery at the state that it is in. Apparently the local prison had it's prisoner's clean it but as you can see it has not been done in a long time. The fenced Grave you can see has some Wilson's buried here, a Alan D. Wilson 1862-1911, Agnes 1868-1921, Peter 1862-1938.Please remove these pictures if you feel they have nothing to do with your family. I have a few other photo's I took at the museum of some Wilson's and Ogilvie's.

|Ace||John Schumm at Oakwood Cemetery|
Hi! Someone else requested a grave photo for him and they are now posted, but note the date difference between memorial dates and the dates on the grave marker.
Rosina Schumm, 1860 - 1942.
Ann S. Wilson, 1885 - 1968
J. William Kime, 1873 - 1948
Mary M. Kime, 1879 - 1918
If you create the memorials (if needed) and add the photo requests I will add the photos I took yesterday. Ace

I would love to assist you by fulfilling your request at Fort Lincoln Cemetery. The cemetery will only give information on 2 graves then they charge $45 for others, so if you can, please contact them and find out the location of the grave and update the information for me. Thanks!
