George Turner Beaver/Bever
Hello,

Would you have a George Turner Beaver/Bever in any of your information? He was born in Ohio or Indiana. Both are listed in census records.

He firstly married Rachel HODSON in Keokuk Co, IA and divorced in Douglas Co, OR. He returned to Iowa, and later married Mary Esther Freel. He became a prospector and prospected in Colorado, Arizona and probably New Mexico. He had 5 children by Mary; Io Germine, Mary Arazona (my ancestor), James G, Roy Russell, Minnie aka Nola.

I am hoping that you might know of his family. I have found him in the 1850 census in Keokuk Co, IA living with other Beavers next dooor to Rachel Hodson. He is living with Catherine, Moses, Ann, Solomon, George, Seba, Adam, and Daniel.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely

Carolyn Leverich Atkinson

# 6906022 Abednigo Sillings
David Sillings and Nancy Crowder were married October 23, 1824...about 5 years after Abednigo Sillings was born. Since Nancy was David's SECOND wife, it seems more likely that his first wife would have been Abednigo's mother. I believe her name was Polly, or 'Mary Polly', Snyder

Leasers Wickliffe Cemetery
Doug,
After looking at your massive efforts, I am less hopeful that you have immediate connections to this family and I hope I haven't contacted you earlier.

After looking at the Leasers you've posted, it almost defies logic that the Jacob you posted would not be a brother to my Margaret: (see way below)
My father was Frederick (with the ER) and had uncles Desco and Jacob Linthicum sons of John W and Phoebe E Whitmire. Until I began my research, everyone said Linthicum was German as all the kids back when were taught German. Of course, it's easy to say now that that came from the Leasers and Whitmires.

Anyhow, after going on 17 years I'm still in this disorganized state and if you could help with any clues to tie Margaret Leaser (below) into the larger family it would be really great.

Margaret Leaser wo Josiah Whitmire for Find A Grave Find A Grave Memorial# 79111891

Margaret Leaser was born 18 Jul 1843 in Prussia, and died 4 Oct 1890. She married Josiah Whitmire 10 NOV 1865 in Tuscawaras County, Ohio, son of Jacob Whitmire and Phillipina. He was born 17 Nov 1842 in Ohio, and died about 1927 in Orange County, IN.
Children of Margaret Leaser and Josiah Whitmire are:
Louisa Whitmire was born abt 1867 in Indiana, and died before1897 in Crawford Co, Indiana.
Phoebe Ellen Whitmire was born 15 Jul 1869 in Indiana, and died 10 Nov 1931 in Newton Stewart, Orange, Indiana.
Jacob F Whitmire was born Jan 1872 in Indiana.

Thanks,

Terry Linthicum
BTW, Find A Grave is fussy today and doesn't want to take my pix. Will post asap

Doug,

There is another memorial for your grandfather that someone else has put up. It is memorial 26568184. I hope that the 2 of you could merge it into one. Yours is such a nice memorial and he is your grandfather. The other memorial was made by a niece.

Victoria (Kocher) Cook
Hi
Do you by any chance know what happened to Helen Arnold? She was formerly Helen Kocher daughter of Zelma Phillips and Harry Kocher? Zelma is the daughter of Minnie and Samuel Phillips. My father is Charles S Kocher, sister of Helen. I know she moved to Colorado....I visited her when I was 6, I'm 49 now. I lost track of her.

Thanks,
Vicki Kocher Cook
