Donna was very sick in late 2013 and I have been informed by another researcher that she passed in February 2014. She was a great help to me in my research and helped me break through one of my brick walls. She loved to help others, and will be missed by many.

ME Carpenter
Hi, I've started doing a search for my Carpenter family and came across the picture you have of my great grandparents, ME and Carrie Carpenter. Myrtle Hortense was my fathers mother. Although we never really knew her real name was Myrtle until she passed in 1986. She always went by Hortense C. for Carpenter. Anyhow, I wanted to thank you for sharing the pictures you have on here. It is so interesting to see them.

Cooper/Vinson Family
Not sure if I've written before. I'm related to the Coopers through the marriage of Uriah Cooper to Quince Ann Frances Vinson and the marriage of Paralee Vinson to Christopher Columbus Cooper. Would love to see if you can help fill in the gaps. Veloyce veester37@aol.com

paschal family
Hi I am related through the Paschal family. I am interested in finding the grave of James m paschal who fought in the civil war with the 13th Alabama. His brother was my direct ancestor and I have been researching the unit James was in and found he was in Gettysburg. This year marks the 150 anniversary. I recently visites Gettysburg and followed in James footsteps. Would live to know more about him. Thankspatricia paschal Denton

Carpenter
Hello Donna....Such a pleasure to meet all of my cousins. I am familiar with many of those Old Dominion families. My family was also from Greenville ..old Pendleton District. I will be happy to exchange information with anyone interested. My lines are Gray, Baber, Powell, Stephens, Lee, Walker, Henry, Taylor, Leavitt, Webster, Doyle, Tyner. Webb, Craver, Carpenter, Clark, Cole, Netherton, Henderson, Jackson, Hudson, Smith, etc.....James Warren Carpenter's sister was Abigail Carpenter who married Henry Craver. Their daughter Sallie Jane Craver was married to George Alexander Webb in Harrison Co. Texas. Their daughter Mary Elizabeth Webb was married to James Wesley Walker. Their daughter was Ola Belle Walker who married Edwin Clark. They were my grandparents. These lines all go back to Revolutionary War Soldiers...most of which I know. Thank you SO MUCH....I did not know until today who the parents of Sallie Jane Craver were. I did not know either who the parents of George Alexander Webb were.

Donna,
Sorry, but I made a mistake on the spouse of Amos James Buchanan Kelley. It was his first wife, Sarah E. Ferguson, not Lucinda Louvina Hardegree, his second wife.

Elijah Garrett and Julia Ann Eliza Parker Garrett
Donna,

Thanks for your note.

Question? Should I create a cemetery to show where they were buried?? Name it Old Shiloh Church Cemetery, Hatchett Creek, Clay, AL since I don't find one listed on Find A Grave. I do find a Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Lineville, Clay, AL

Below is where I obtained my information.

Nancy Cornelius
Macedonia Primitive Baptist (old) cemetery
Yes that is the cemetery I am looking for according to records, but was trying to get the Garretts. Their daughter Emily married a Carpenter. The note I got back about the cemetery was the same one you recieved, so I guess those pictures may be lost to nature. I removed the request and noted the problem. Alot of old stones are now fading due to ware and tare from the weather, especially the field stones that were carved. Thanks for your help.

Corrections
THe Old Macedonia Primtive Church Cemetery is no longer accessable by vehicle. The county road is no longer maintained and a bridge has collapsed. This has been confirmed by many hunters and the local fire department. It no longer even can be reached by a 4 wheel recreation vehicle. The maps you have posted is old and is not correct.
