Only in it to Build Numbers

Sorry to read about the untimely passing of your son... what a tragedy.

I couldn't agree with you more about the contributor of Find A Grave who are in it to amass numbers and unwilling to transfer memorials. Who's going to request a transfer if they’re not somehow attached to the person who the memorial was created for? I can understand if you have a family connection and you'd rather maintain a memorial yourself, but not to transfer based on the Find A Grave guidelines is incredible stupid, selfish, insensitive and controlling. I think these people love the recognition and sense of control they feel with their numbers and when they refuse to transfer. Guidelines are just that "guidelines", not absolute rules and/or regulation that must be adhered to.

Thank you for your find-a-grave contributions, kindness and proper attitude about the memorials you create. Please continue the good work, find-a-grave needs more contributors just like you!!!

Best Wishes,

RE: Agree
I know I have to do my area really quick or its gone. Then when they do put them up, they are adding the obit which is great, but not adding the info in the other boxes because they are in a hurry to grab the next one. Then I have to sent in the corrections.
Thanks for the comment.

You are so welcome.
What a smile and I will bet he was a great son to you.
There are no words except to say that my faith says we will be reunited with our loved ones some day if we know the Lord.

Hi - Thank You for the response, I can't believe the time that blew by since my mom's loss to my getting back around to some of my friends' pages! I just listed his name, and I hope that it will bring a few visitors who might not have known about your son without the listing...hope that all is well with you and yours, and that we will be in better touch from now on. Take Care - Hugs, RCP and Gannon Blue

Your son's page
Dear Susan,
Well, it has been a very long time since we last spoke, and I am coming round again to see whether you'd mind my highlighting your son's page of my friends noted that the tokens had slowed down, and I have basically been offsite since my mother's passing in August, 2013. =( But I am back, and I have kept you in thoughts and prayers - would you like me to do any highlighting again? Let me know, and I do hope that all is well with you and yours -m I am just very, very happy that 2013 is long gone, not a keeper of a year for me! Hugs, Rhonda and Gannon Blue

RE: Dave Ray Raley, Jr.
Hi - Thank You for your message, and I am so pleased that you are okay with my having highlighted your son's page...believe it or not, I have had just a couple of requests to take a name down - but I do understand. Some folks are very particular about the tokens put on their pages, etc. - and I used to ask people before I ran a name, but so many folks didn't give me a no or a, I just do what I've done all my life, jump and hope for the best. =) I'm so sorry that your son had health issues; my boy Gannon is very, very physically and mentally disabled, and I just feel so badly for all the trials he endures - but he is so brave about it that it leaves me in awe. I hope that Dave will get more visitors, and once my 'regulars' know a name, they check back again and again, and so now you're probably stuck with us. ha! Take good care and even though I am not on here as much right now due to my own health issues, I will always, always get back to someone asap, and so say hi once in awhile. Hugs, Rhonda and Gannon Blue

In memory of Bo and Chris
God bless, keep and comfort
My sympathy on the passing of your son. I have lost both of my sons, Bo (my oldest) in 2003.. Dec 28..(angel day approaching), and Chris (my middle child) in 1995. I still have a daughter who has 3 children, and they are such a blessing. I miss my boys every day, but I know that they are in a far better place, and one day, in God's time, I want to be with them again!
God bless you..and give you peace, and joy in this Christmas season. Jesus is the reason for the season...and he took your angel home to wait for you!

I put your son on my profile page and I hope it helped to get a few flowers. I also asked Santa to visit him so maybe he will get some more for Christmas. Hope you are doing well. I know it is hard. Nothing worse... I also hope you are not alone.
Christmas Hugs, Nita

Here is Cameo's poem. If you like it, feel free to share):

Untitled Poem...........

twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
they were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say.
they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
"this is heaven." declared a small boy. "we're spending Christmas at God's house."
when what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
those children all flew into the arms of their King
and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
and as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."
then He looked down on earth, the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe
then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!"
"may this country be delivered from the hands of fools"
"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"
then He and the children stood up without a sound.
"come now my children, let me show you around."
excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
all displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
and i heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
"in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

I am sooooo sorry about your son. I know that has to be the worse pain ever... I have missed you. I have been through a lot but still hanging in here. You are in my prayers.
I know Christmas will be bad, you will be in my thoughts. I hope you have family to help you through this terrible painful time.
Love and Hugs

I seen you had put in a question for a flower on her husbands marker.
Her name is on the bottom, just real hard to read.
