Shock Memorials
Kathy...I was unable to transfer the cemetery photos so I am leaving your original memorials. I did not think that could happen. What a mess! When clicking on my original memorial I gave you credit for taking those photos. When you click on photos you will see that notation.

And i don't see another Thigpen infant...please let me know. Cause well need to come up and look for her grave. My mom send money every year for the up keep of her grave.. My name is Reta Ivey. poisonivey@planters.net ...Thank you...

Shock Memorials
Thank you Kathy for transferring these two memorials on my Shock Family Tree. As a Columbia native all of my maternal/paternal ancestors are buried in and around the Columbia area. It is nice to have their memorials all together in one place.
I appreciate all the time you have spent & documenting these graves over the years.

To much information
I have never been on Find A Grave under another name. Sorry if I have offended you, not my intent. I don't every intend to over kill on information I have found. I always appreciate any information others provide, I will never tell them they have sent to much data.

RE: Re: Jessup
I sent the information to make the changes for the children of Francis and Sarah S Jessup in Pittsburg Cemetery in Kansas. I cant make the changes and it seems that you are the only one that can. I was not asking if you were related. You posted the information from what I am guessing you had. I was giving you the correct info. Please let me know if you need me to send it again. My thanks for all that you do and you are doing a great job?

Thank you, for transfering another Logan to me.

I seem to be on a roll and can connect so many of them back to 1827. The history our families are part of is quite an eye opener.

Some very interesting reading and findings on Find A-Grave. The above named person married a distant cousin of mine in Deadwood S.D. It so happens that her grandfather is buried in the same county I live in. (Cerro Gordo, Iowa) and that cemetery (Lincoln) is less than a mile from one my very dear friends home and less than 5 miles from our home in Mason City, IA. I have been working on the Merritt history and am now concentrating on the families that settled in South Dakota. I have added obits from the Deadwood papers to this memorial and from our family histories. This memorial and her husband, Frank Merritt, my cousin, are your memorials.

Thanks Kathy. Attempting to be concise:

mil. 1942-46 USAAC.
m. 1943 Deer Lodge, Powell, MT to Martha Jane Foster, b. 1920 same, res. 1930 Tacoma WA, d. 2013 Deer Lodge, bur. same.

d. 1990 where?

His cousin, my uncle, met his daughter at the last of the local funerals (his mom's, or his?).

Did I see MO-born James A. Gateses, Sr. & Jr., in the US Census records for MO? Any other ideas, even on how to rule this one out, would be welcome.

Thanks again!
Barry

RE: Eleanor Herms
Kathy, I thought I replied to your message. Yes, I would love to help by taking responsibility for Eleanor and more of her family to honor my Texas hometown friends, the W. P. Herms, Jr., family. Eleanor was Mr. Herms' great grandmother.

RE: Wilhemina Cuspert, Hopeton Plantation Cemetery
She is "Willie" on SSDIndex, died in Savannah, GA.
But let me do some more research, and I will get back to you.
The usual spelling is WilheLmina. e.g. queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands (1898-1948). Female form of German Wilhelm (William).
Have a nice day.

Ernst Hoewelmann #57207836
This grave is that of Ernst Jacob Hoewelmann who was born at Kattenvenne in Lienen Tecklenburg, Germany in 1817. He was married in Germany to Katherine Sellmeier. The couple first settled at Pinckney in Warren County, Mo. His wife Katherine Sellmeier is buried at the old St. John's Church Cemetery in Pinckney, Mo. He was the son of Gerhard Rudolph Hoewelmann and Sophia Elizabeth Hassmann. For research it is helpful to know that the surname has been spelled over the years in various ways, Hovelmann, Hobelmann, Hoevelmann. The current modern spelling is Howelman. Ernst Jacob was my Great Great Grandfather. Thanks for honoring him and for all you do to help us remember our ancestors. I would appreciate your adding some of this information to his entry on Finda Grave.
