Thanks for the history and the fast response, Greg! It's nice to know how you were connected. And, yes, I would definitely appreciate it if you would transfer management of the memorial. Thanks for thinking of him and adding it to begin with!

I see that you added a memorial and a very nice picture of Phil. I am wondering how you know him. I am married to his son, John.

I found another memorial created by member Oakblossom. I am hoping that, perhaps, we can combine memorials.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Lois Belitz and Lilian Trosper
Hello Greg, I am sorry to hear that CPR is in failing health, but glad someone is trying to keep up with edits on his memorials. In that regard, I have two significant requests:

Lois Belitz, memorial #53539111, is my MOTHER. Transferring her memorial to me follows FindAGrave’s guidelines. I appreciate the fact that CPR created the memorial. Thank him for that, however, I would like to manage my loved ones for the same reason that you and CPR want to manage your loved ones.
DAR2015 Contributor #48604466

Lillian J. Belitz Trosper, memorial #81644120, is my GODMOTHER. Transferring her memorial to me follows FindAGrave’s guidelines. I appreciate the fact that CPR created the memorial. Thank him for that, however, I would like to manage my loved ones for the same reason that you and CPR want to manage your loved ones.
DAR2015 Contributor #48604466

I have been asking for these transfers since April and now I understand why I haven't heard from CPR. But I would really appreciate your response. Sincerely thankful, Linda

Dsle Norseen, and others
Hi, Greg!!! I'm sorry to hear that CPR is not well, but SO glad that someone is helping with his edits !!! He was so good about adding the obits, but, unfortunately, he just "placed" people in the cemetery that he thought they were buried, and then when asked to move them to the correct cemetery, never complied... my main work is Sherman, Valley, and Howard counties, so this has been very frustrating!!

My friend Linda Currie and I are trying to straighten out the Ord Cemetery fiasco, and many people have to be "moved" to Ord Cemetery...would love to get CPR's people moved...just for your info, and maybe in your "spare time" (ha!), you could help us, there is only one cemetery in Ord, called Ord Cemetery - there are many sections, and they were treated like separate cemeteries - we are going through everybody, adding sections and lots, then, eventually, will have Find A Grave merge these if CPR has memorials in Catholic or Ord Bohemian, they need to be moved to Ord Cemetery...

As far as Norseen, yes, he is not buried there... would you please copy and paste his obit and then send it to his correct memorial (you could add at the end that it was provided by CPR), then delete the one in error...

What would you like us to do? keep sending corrections to CPR?? will you be handling the corrections that were done in the past? don't want to make your life harder by making duplicates...what else can I do to help you? you've taken on a big job, and we thank you for your efforts...

RE: Beulah Spangsberg
I believe "James" is a misprint in her obit. It should be William Hans as her father. I found her brother's obit. It says contributions may be made to the Columbarium Garden at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Durango, La Plata, CO. I cannot find anything on the internet that says that's a cemetery, or burial location for ashes. Maybe you can find out and add him, then make the links. Here it is:

Former Durango resident Donald James Spangsberg died of pancreatic cancer Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, in Fruita. He was a week shy of his 91st birthday.
Known as “Don,” he was born to William Hans and Beulah Fay (Zink) Spangsberg on Aug. 20, 1923, in Litchfield, Nebraska. He graduated from high school in Hazard, Nebraska, in 1940.
From 1941 to 1943, he worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas, where he made PT-17s and saw the first B-29s roll off the line. From January 1944 to March 1946, Mr. Spangsberg was stationed aboard the USS Aurelia in the Pacific Theater. He was discharged with the rank of machinist’s mate third class.
After the war, he earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial arts from Kearney (Nebraska) State Teachers College in 1950 and went on to earn a master’s degree in the subject from Colorado State Teachers College, now the University of Northern Colorado, in 1957. Mr. Spangsberg taught industrial arts, bookkeeping and driver’s education at Campbell County High School in Gillette, Wyoming, from 1950 to 1956.
On Aug. 10, 1953, he married Shirley Carrie Springen in Gillette.
In 1957, he became a professor of industrial arts and drafting at Fort Lewis College in Durango, where he taught for 30 years. He served as assistant football coach his first year on campus.
Mr. Spangsberg played basketball and baseball in high school, football in college and semi-professional baseball in Kearney. During his adult life, he was a golfer and avid sports fan.
In Durango, he was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and served on the Church Council. A member of the Four Corners Gem & Mineral Club, he volunteered at the Colorado Wildlife and Parks Museum and the Durango/La Plata County Senior Center. An avid woodworker, Mr. Spangsberg refinished pieces of antique furniture and created his own wooden pieces.
Mr. Spangsberg, a charter member of the Four Corners Rose Society, also had a knack for flower and vegetable gardening, his family said. The Spangsbergs’ home garden was featured in Cowboys & Indians, Colorado Expression and Colorado Homes & Lifestyles.
Among the Spangsbergs’ travels were visits to 20 national rose conventions.
The couple moved to Fruita in June.
“Don showed everyone what a good man was,” according to his family. “He showed how a man could be gentle, kind, loving and thoughtful.”
Mr. Spangsberg is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Spangsberg, of Fruita; daughters Karen Roberts of Fruita and Susan Vogel of Greeley; sisters Betty Burgeson of Kearney and Fay Larson of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother, Glenn “Bud” Spangsberg of Kearney; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 495 Florida Road. The Rev. Tim Orlowski will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hope West Hospice, Hospice of Mercy or the Columbarium Garden at Christ the King Lutheran Church.

William Carson's wife

Yes, I would love it if you would add the photo of William's wife's grave marker. I had photographed all of the grave markers at the Kirwin Cemetery until about 2010, so I am so happy to see that someone else is adding the new ones.

May I ask why you posted photo of the grave marker for Kenneth Rodges to the memorial that we had claimed the photo requests for? This is against find a grave rules and I'd appreciate it if you would delete the photo.

Hi how do you know Phylis ? The one that she is in is on the west edge of town across from it is the Catholic one. Her stone is a big black one with Denny's on the northwest cornor, near a big shade tree.

RE: Memorial# 44940070
the original owner of the memorials placed them in this cemetery. When I requested photos they never reported them being in Highland cem. instead of the one listed. I just did a bit of looking myself and found under Cemetery Master Surname list for Buffalo co. - Goodwin in KEA and RAV - KEA stands for Kearney and RAV stands for Ravenna. seems like the lists contradict the list you found on the same site.
