Hi Jane, Excellent photos - a wonderful addition to the three DOWER memorials. Thank you for your generous assistance in making this happen. I have looked at the River Bend cemetery photos on this website as well as looking on Google Earth - I agree the cemetery looks like a very nice place. Thanks also for the Section number I will add to memorials. Kind Regards - Radeau

Hi Jane, Firstly, thank you very much for taking the time to find and photograph this gravesite. It is very much appreciated. My wife and I are excited about seeing the grave from across the world :)
I have added two more memorials for Richard's wife and child to the River Bend Cemetery and linked all three as a family. Thank you for this suggestion. This is the first time I have done this and was previously unaware of this feature.

You're very welcome, but I can't allow you to think I'm that hardy to go traipsing around cemeteries in January. Those pictures were made about 1996. My husband and I were on our way to Springfield, IL, to go to a quilt exhibit at their state museum (can't remember if it was spring or fall--but somewhat warmish). We stopped a couple of places in route and took pictures for our various family history projects. I wish that they were easier to read, but they are made of very stark white stone and difficult to highlight and photograph.

Memorials happily transferred, and I'd gladly enter any additional info for other members of this family. Lately, I haven't had the time to do as much as I would like because of school, but I love to do this when time permits. Happy Holidays from my family to yours :)

You're welcome Janet! I saw that the dates for Samuel had been corrected -
Do you know what happened to his son Samuel? I have him last in the 1880 Census in Kerr Co TX, still single.

|Mary||RE: Memorial Transfer Request|
Hi Jane, I would be glad to transfer this memorial to you. I have been neglecting this part of my family for awhile - I have her children with their wives and their burial places that I haven't entered yet -- that will be my genealogical project this week.
Which child does your husband descend from? He and I are distant cousins - I am descended from George Clitherall's (Eliza's husband) mother's first marriage to Thomas Loughton Smith. Could you send me his ancestry back to Eliza and George?
Have you read Eliza's autobiography? It is fascinating reading. I got it on microfilm through interlibrary loan.
Anyway, I will transfer that memorial to you.

Thank you so much for your time and talent to find this grave for me. Rebecca was my husband's ggrandfather's sister who we did not even know had immigrated to America. I am so thankful.

|Jim and Mary||RE: Champlins in River Bend, Westerly|
Hi Jane, Esther's looks better than many of the old stones. I'm related to many of the Champlins and have been slowly connecting the different family members that I know. Your photos are helping me a great deal! Thanks so much, Mary

|Marilyn Kenyon, Psy.D.||Kenyons in River Bend|
I just checked out the postings you did. All I can say is, "Wow." You did a very wonderful thing. The early Kenyons settled in Rhode Island, which is where their history began in America. You have helped to memorialize a part of Kenyon history. I am very grateful to you.
