Fred S. & Bettie Offutt Memorial Marker Photo
Hello,

I would like to ask your permission to attach a copy of the photo of the grave marker for Frederick Samuel Offutt and his wife Bettie Offutt (Find A Grave Memorial# 23562305 and Find A Grave Memorial# 17172747) to my genealogical records on the Offutt Family.

At some point I was given a photo of the marker, but it isn't as clear as yours is. I would of course annotate that you are the owner of the picture.

Thank you for taking and posting the picture.

Dave O.

Connie
Alfred Kincaid spouse
Hi Jenna. You were kind enough to add the photo of the headstone for Alfred Kincaid from the Kincaid cemetery. I am also looking for both of his spouses, who I hope are buried near him. Rebecca was his second wife. She died 1924. Rachel was his first wife and she died prior to his marriage to Rebecca in 1882. I am hoping both of them are buried in the Kincaid cemetery. I am going to create memorials assuming they are both buried there. If you could upload both photos if they are there I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for confirming what I had always thought that she was the wife of John A. Price son of William Washington Price and not the second wife of John A. Price son of Allen Price. It had always been thought that she was the econd wife of the second John A. Price

Sorry you had such a bad experience. So far I have not had that problem. Anyway what I wanted to write you about is the Cemetery location. It says it is in the Stet Community. Really, the cemetery is in the Georgeville Community. Georgeville was only a general store back years ago but we are still referred to as the Georgeville Community. Thanks.

Hyder family of Ray Co.
Hi Jenna

I see you've done some work w/ the Hyder family of Ray Co. including Jacob Hyder (1812-1854), and have photographed a lot in Ray Co. In the early 1990s I visited the old Hyder Cem. in Polk Twp where he is buried and remember it well.

Jacob had a daughter named Sarah, b. 1837 TN and d. 1916 in Independence MO. Her first husband was named James Elliott, who died in 1858. I know nothing about him (except he was born TN 1835) or his family. Do you? Did you ever find his grave?

More importantly to me, Sarah's second husband was my ancestor the Civil War vet Thomas Pounds (b. OH 1839, d. 1907-1910, place unknown). He was alive in 1907, I know, but on the 1910 census Sarah declares herself a widow. For twenty years I've searched the archives and to date have found no trace of his date and place of death. Sarah d. 1916 in Caldwell Co. but she and Thomas met and married in Ray Co. in 1860 and are listed there on the 1860 census. Later censuses show them mostly in Caldwell Co. but they're living in DeKalb in 1900.

Would you now of any small rural cemeteries I may have missed?
I can give you townships of residence if that would help.

Many thanks,

Wayne

Jenna,
I just noticed that the cemetery picture you posted on the New Garden Baptist Church Cemetery is actually the marker for New Hope Primitive Baptist Church and Cemetery. Just thought you might want to fix that.

Thank you
I just wanted to thank you for the pictures of Tinneys Grove Cemetery. I live in Oklahoma and haven't been able to make the trip to see it in person. My dream is to visit it, someday, so your pictures have deeply touched my heart, I have many family members at that cemetery.
God Bless You

I think it's great all the work you do on this site and thank you for the great info! I'm a huge Ford fan and was wondering if their father James Thomas Ford is in the same cemetary next to his wife Mary Ann Bruin? I'm assuming so but I was there last year to visit Charley and Bob's grave but didn't see the parents.
