Thank you for taking pic of Jesse and Jane (Patton) Dodson a few years ago. Your photo description indicates you are able to read the words in person but unable to get a clear pic. Wondering if I could make a suggestion/request. Would you do a charcoal or chaulk rubbing of the marker ?

|John Burnett||RE: Thomas Temple|
I have something a little more radical--why not just move the graves to another cemetery. I hate it when a property owner disrespects graves and doesn't cooperate--but this is not unusual. I would rather all the remains be unearther, removed and placed in one grave with a nice marker. It is sad that she will not help.
Thanks for the reply and anything you have or will do there.

|John Burnett||Temple family cemetery|
My wife is a descendant of Thomas Temple--I have been in touch with Tommy Temple. Is there any way the property owner would allow the cemetery to be cleaned and fenced again? Tommy even mentioned buying the little plot. I something is not done soon it will be lost. I really would like to see what ever is there cleaned and photographed. I am in Texas, but willing to assist if possible.

|K Perry||tunis Van Middleswaert|
There is also a Tuenis Van Middleswaert that signed his name V Middleswaert -born 1759 Somerset county NJ. He was the son of Theunis Van Middleswaert 1721 and Jannetje LaGrange born 1730. He married Magdelene Brokaw and then 2nd Rebecca Probasco. Tuenis 1759 is buried in Dumont Cemetery in NJ. Could have been him also.
Teunis l721 is the son of Teunis Van Middleswaert 1682 and Susanna Beekman and Teunis 1721 is the brother of Hendrick 1715 and OUR Abraham 1723.
So I doubt that Anthony Teunis Van Middlesworth born 1750 is the Tunis in VRooms Regt in NJ.
i would go with Teunis 1759 or Tunis 1742 probably as the Rev War soldier.
i think alot of those Van Middlesworths who fought together in New Jersey may have been brothers.
Every generation named the children the same names - very confusing !

|K Perry||Tunis Van Middleswaert|
There are several Tunis Van Middleswaert in the same age group that were in New Jersey. I believe the ones in Vroom 's Regt was probably someone from Hendrickus Van Middleswaert/ Van Middlesworth 1715's family. there was a few of his sons and grandsons that fought in New Jersey.
There is a Tunis born 1742 in Brunswick, Middlesex county NJ that could be the Tunis in the Rev War from NJ.
None of Abraham Van Middleswaert's children fought for New Jersey except my 4x great grandfather John Middleswarth (baptised as Jan Van Middleswaert 12 april 1745 in Raritan, Somerset NJ) All the other children of Abraham Van Middleswaert 1723 and Maria Griggs 1725 were in Bucks county Pa and then on to Allegheny County Pa except John 1745 and one brother Abraham middleswarth Jr born 1752 died in NJ - no info about him being in the Rev War.
Your family went to West Va and the others went to Pa, then Henry and jacob's family went to Ohio. Henry 1755 i think fought in Pa in the Rev War and I think Jacob 1761 fought in Ohio? have to check that. John, Henry and jacob are the only ones in the SAR. All the others in New Jersey are from
Hendrickus Van Middlesworth/ Van Middleswaert born 1715, Abraham Van Middleswaert 1723's older brother, who married Neeltje Ten Eyck. They all kept the Van on the name.

|K Perry||regarding Anthony Middlesworth 1750|
Where do you think Anthony Middlesworth born 1750 died and is buried ? Did he move to Ohio with the family? Would he have used Van Middlesworth as a last name or Middlesworth?
I thought you could put me on the right track.
Where was he last seen and do we know his death date ? your cousin
