My great grandmother was Julia Brown, Leatha's sister. I'm having a tough time finding out information on any of her brothers and sisters, or her parents. "Big Moma" as we knew her was very much like the description you gave for Leatha. I never understood why they called her "Big Moma"...she wasn't very tall and just a slender woman. Her kids shared in her fun loving character and I loved it when my grandmothers siblings came for a visit. Thank you so much for posting the picture. I cant wait to show my uncle who gave me most of the information I have. He only knew what Big Moma was able to tell him right before he died. If you would be willing to share anything, I would be most appreciative.
Thank you, Amy

RE: Edward Earl Brantley II - #7426577
I saw your flowers on my nephews memorial and wondered if you are related to us somehow or knew the family or why you left flowers for "Little Eddy". We just found Foundagrave and started searching for family members. So we thank you for your kindness.

From what I am reading in other posts, there might have been a problem with your email of some kind this past year and I am not sure if you are checking the email account you use on FindaGrave since I have gotten no response from you. Hope you are OK. I had written to ask you permission to post a high school photo of your friend Roger on his memorial page. Since we do not get a response from your hotmail email, I will post it today before I misplace it, then if you would like it to be removed, just let me know.

Hope you're doing well and having a great summer. Just wanted to let you know it is possible your email acct was hacked or you have a virus, because I very much doubt that you sent me the cheesy email I just received :-) The msg I got pointed me to a website in France and I have gotten similar msgs from friends (all pointing to French sites) and they all had no trouble once they changed their passwords. I'll send it back to you if you want, let me know. Take good care til later.

Wishing you hope like this, and sending warm wishes for the holiday and for a fine 2011. Thanks for your friendship.

Hey Clinton... Been thinking about you of late, and reflecting on this time of year. It makes me thankful for people like you who have sponsored my memorials. I wanted you to know I have not forgotten your kindness, and to show my appreciation a little further, I've put your name on my bio page to show thanks and encourage folks to visit your loved ones. Please holler if this is not ok with you. You were the first person on the site to reach out and sponsor one of my folks, and of all people, my dad, and I will never forget that kindness and how it felt. Take good care and best to you as we gear up for the holidays!

The year has turned its circle,
The seasons come and go.
The harvest all is gathered in
And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain,
So open wide the doorway-
Thanksgiving comes again!
Wishing you and yours a splendid day, and giving thanks for your friendship and sponsorship of my dear dad :-)

Hope you are feeling Spring coming on. We had 3 days in the 50's, and now are getting 3 days of cold rain :-( Wanted to ask a quick favor... A former classmate of mine just joined FindAGrave and I told her how kind and supportive folks were on here. If you have a moment to visit her dad she might see what I mean. Thanks if you can. Take good care.

I have actual high speed access (instead of terribly slow dial-up) for the next 1 and 1/2 hours while away from my mom's house, so wanted to get a note off to you to wish you and yours a blessed holiday season. I hope that family, friends, the beauty of the season and your own spirituality combine to make this an unforgettable holiday. May God bless. I hope to visit your loved ones closer to Christmas.

to send good wishes your way for Thanksgiving. My mom is coming home from hip surgery recovery so I'm getting set for fulltime caregiving, and will be offline for a bit, but we are surely giving thanks. Thanks too for your friendship and visits to my dear ones, it means a lot. Take good care and hope you and yours enjoy a blessed holiday.

Just wanted to say hi, and hope you and yours are well. Thanks for reminding me about the Rainbow Bridge story - I did pass that on to my nephew. He was pretty surprised by how kind people were and how many of them there were who honored his dog. His dad kind of sniffed and said the dog has mourners from all over the world.. and he's right, and should be so lucky whenever his time comes. Take good care and have a great 4th.
