Adam Guild -
Capt George Denison
Hi. I visited my Mom and Dad last week in Florida and my Mom showed me a handwritten book on her lineage... Turns out Capt. George Denison was one of her (our) Grandfathers...

Last names have been... Guild --> Murphy (my mom) --> Denison --> Chesbrough of Stonington, Conn

Anyway would love to meet any or all of you this summer when we visit from the West Coast. Sincerely, Adam

My deepest thanks to you for this photo of the grave marker I could never have seen. It will be in findagrave for his ancestors.

The volunteers make this Find A Grave work, and no one should have to pay for access to what we contribute to the website having spent our time and money to research.

Many thanks,to you Bridget.

Mary Ellen Epling Lilly

I added another picture of Molly Lilly. I thought you'd like to see it. It was in her daughter Pansy Kessingers living room in the house beside of the Kessinger cemetery for years.

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

Dolly B Lilly

Just to let you know - Dolly B Lilly actually isn't in the cemetery that you've done all the work tying together. She is actually buried in the Epling Cemetery in Camp Creek.

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

Cox Request Reed Cemetery Floyd Co Va
Looked for your requested marker
Couldn't find it --- there are many markers there that are OLD and unreadable --- MANY markers are so brittle -- (evidently sandstone) that if you try to brush them, they just "dust" away.
SOMEBODY should have a listing of this old cemetery and the locations of the graves -- some are only marked by a stone.
It's a pity when these old sites fall apart like this
It appears SOMEONE is taking SOME care of it -- it's not overgrown -- someone must mow it occasionally ---
Sorry we couldn't help.

Ollie Sartin Epling
I was wondering if you are related to Olive.
I am her half 1st cousin once removed on the Sartin side.
Would like to know the family on her side.
I have done a lot of research on my Sartin family.

Added the info you have for Ethel Aikin Kelly Reagan. If you wish to manage her memorial, or any others I have, just let me know and I will transfer to you. I would prefer someone that is part of her family to manage. The qty of memorials I manage is not important to me.

RE: Cynthia Mattingly Waterman
Cynthia is very distantly related to me. The memorial is alright where it is, but thanks for the offer. I don't need any credit for anything, just like to see as much info as possible for those doing genealogy work. You have some nice memorials.

Are we speaking of Robert Lee Quesenberry in Oakwood Cemetery?

RE: Thank you so much for the photographs!
I've uploaded pictures of the Epling cemetery to the Find A Grave website. It is a fairly small cemetery. I was able to take pictures of all the stones in the cemetery that day too. They are now up on Find A Grave.

RE: Thank you so much for the photographs!
I'm in WV right now and intend to get to several cemeteries in Mercer, Raleigh and Summers counties. When we go by Epling again today, I will get a pic of the entire cemetery. It is fairly small.
My line is:
Ellen Jane Vaught Epling
Onie Mae Epling Boice
Lena Belle Boice Jennings
Reba Jennings (my grandmother)

AS these are not within guidelines I will maintain, will gladly add anything else that you wish. Are they linked to the wrong parents? If so I can easily help " straighten out my Dearing line" for you.

Pagan/Hodge family
I failed to mention that yes, my Hodge family is related to the Pagan family. If you'll look up Altoona cemetery in Pulaski, you'll see that I went to pain staking efforts to find this lost cemetery where my grandfathers cousin, Con Hodge is buried w/at least Pagan relatives. I am willing to share any information with you about my side of the family, or of any of the Pagan relatives on my tree. Just send me an email to: if you're interested!

Salem Church Cem.
Dear Bridget,
I was up at the Salem Church Cemetery today looking for all those persons who had not been photographed yet according to Find-a-grave. There were several I could not find, including Henry Austin. However, I did not have the full name and the complete birth/death dates. I will be back up that way in the future and will ask my kids to give me a hand (they think this is cool)and will do my best. Take care, Kathy McCauley

RE: Thank you so much for the photograph!
You're very welcome Bridget. I'm in the same shape you're in. Most of my family lives (and has lived) 300 miles from where I live and I've had to ask for photos also. That's one of the things I like about Find A Grave, people are willing to help and I really enjoy helping others. I spend a lot of time in cemetery's not just for me but for others also. It's very rewarding.
