This marker is under a large tree and will be shaded until the leaves fall in a few months. If I can remember to get back there then, I will take a better photo.

Greetings. I was reviewing your photo request. This cemetery is huge, with over 100,000 burials dating to the 1800's so an exact location is necessary. Please call Frank in the office at (419) 536-3751 to get the site. Thanks!

Yes, we have duplicate memorials, but they are in different cemeteries so I did not see yours. Please recheck your records for where they are buried, I believe I am right. If you agree and change your memorial, I will gladly remove mine. If you don't agree, I will want to check the cemetery again where I took the pictures. Thank you!

I went to photograph her resting place today and found out that she was cremated and her ashes buried on top of Eugene Shelner. I took a picture of the head stone, however her name was not etched on it. Etched on the head stone were Eugene, David and Alice Shelner and on the back was William S. Brake 1904-1979. Let me know if you want this info posted.

|Kelly & Amber||Easey's|
We went to Checkered Cemetery today and found a Mertie Easey 11-15-1898 to 12-15-1898 and a Hattie Easey 1878-6-1-1898 we have posted these photo's. Then we were run out by ground bees(this is an old cemetery back in the woods). We will go back in late fall when the bees are dormant to see if we can find any more Easey,s for you.This cemetery has a lot of stones that can,t be read so cross your fingers maybe we will get lucky.
We also went to Bedford Cemetery (we are close to both)the Edward we found was dated 1852-1929(maybe his son)The same stone also has Ester 1853-1919. We also found Edith 1887-1967? We will be posting these photos soon.
Thank You Kelly

Links finished. Are you related?
Added by Gone But Not Forgotten on Jul 11, 2013 6:57 PM
I added the information to the bio and added the links. Ida is also buried in the same section at Evergreen. I linked them. I transferred the memorial to you because you seem to know a lot about them and the pictures are great!

I will do my best to find the area. There are clear markers for sections but little else to mark individual sections.

I noticed your photo request. The cemetery spans many acres and has over 100,000 burials, making an exact location of your request necessary. Please call the office at (419) 536-3751 to get the location as there are currently 250 photo requests. Update your photo request and you will get your photo much sooner. Thanks!

Thank you for the info on the Lamb family. I did not add the headstone photo for John Lamb. Try contacting the photo's owner, David Phares. Perhaps he has the correct one and can exchange it.

I noticed you had a photo request for a Guy S. Clark in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Someone has already claimed it. I am looking for a 2nd Uncle by that name. DO you have any family history on him?

|Lori Miller||RE: Dorothy J. Kohlhorst Sharp|
Actually Dorothy was my aunt by marriage, not blood. She was married to my uncle Jack Sharp, who was my mom's brother.
I really don't have any information or pictures of the Kolhorst family. I do know that Dorothy had a brother named Pinch Kolhorst. He and his wife had a couple of children, namely a daughter, Kathy, and a son (don't know his name). I'm sure Kathy is married and has a different last name so I don't know how you would find her unless you could figure out her last name. But she might have some family pictures because if I'm figuring this out right, Catherine A. Ater Kolhorst would have been her grandmother-I think.
I'm sorry that I can't help you.
PS You look like the Kolhorst side….you resemble Aunt Dorothy!

I just wanted to let you know that I checked the register at Lake cemetery and that Louisa (Shapley) Wilson is buried in the same plot as her parents and siblings and that I've added the picture to her memorial.

|Stephen Carfora||Lafayette Price (1819-1864), Civil War veteran|
I will be visiting the U.S. Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery in Washington, DC, later today. However, according to the "Nationwide Gravesite Locator" website of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, it appears that this individual is buried at Hampton National Cemetery, in Hampton, VA. See this website:
And here is the listing:
Date of Death: 07/07/1864
Section E, Site 1057
Hampton National Cemetery
Cemetery Road at Marshall Avenue
Hampton, VA 23669
