In January you requested a picture of Maude LeVeda Shirley. I do not take photos, so can't fulfill request.

RE: Another Erie Cemetery Note

Hello Janet,
Do you know the reason why Carl Scheffel
was disinterred and removed to Cresthaven? 24 years after his death is strange. Was it to be buried with his first wife (assuming she is buried there also)? Did they move his second wife also or is she still at Erie? Inquiring minds want to know :).
I have transferred the memorials that you have requested.

William Gasaway
I'm not sure if the birth year of 1848 is accurate; it's not on the headstone, and I doubt he was only 15 when he died in the army. Therefore, I've removed that date.

James Chess
Hi, Janet

Yes, I'd be happy to give you the materials I have on James Chess. He was a fascinating character. I'm on vacation at the moment and don't have my resources here but I'll be glad to send you some information when I get back.

Section 7, Lot 78 has a Forrest Mayfield. Perhaps the name Forrest was accidently typed in for Lot 77.

Photo Copied Obits
Just wanted to let you know in case you didn't that Find a Grave rules prohibit photocopying obits and posting them as photographs. Obits must be typed and added to the bio of the person.

Thank You.

RE: Loudermilk
I am not familiar with Clear Spring. My ggg grandparents were Mary Washburn, first wife of Jacob Loudermilk, of Habersham Co., GA. Their son Wm. Cannon Loudermilk was my gg grandfather.

RE: Harold Roberts
Think you may have the wrong Larry Roberts. Don't believe he was involved in any manner.

Harold Roberts
Thanks so much for adding the obit for my uncle Harold. We hope to get a simple stone purchased for him soon. That was something my dad wanted to do, so in remembrance of my father, my mother and siblings are going to purchase it. If you have any questions concerning the Roberts', let me know, my mother (who lives in Bedford) has done a lot of genealogy research and has quite a bit of information. Thanks Again. Jeff

RE: Hawk in Liberty Cemeter
Janet. My wife found on (Privett tree) that Benjamin Schuyler Hawk b. Pulaski Co. KY, Apr 7, 1833 d. Dec 23, 1904 in Pulaski Co. KY. (GOTT Chaney tree) Jane Waddle b. Mar 23, 1829 in Pulaski Co. KY d. Nov 20, 1908 in Orange Co IN.
Benjamin P. may or maybe not be buried in Liberty Cem. as the death date is left blank on his stone. (Perhaps they didn't bother to get it filled in?) The records for the cemetery doesn't have anything for Ben S. and Jane Waddle Hawk. The lady who keeps the records says about year 2000 they went thru the cemetery and recorded all the stones that were legible. Hope this helps.

RE: Hawkins - David and others at Gilgal
You're welcome. I'm sorry the photos aren't better, but some of the stones are barely ledgible. I have a photo of the "Lydia" side of the William and Lydia monument. I didn't post it, because it's really bad ... even worse than the "William" side, but I can send it to you, if you would like to have it.

RE: Hawkins Monuments
You're very welcome. Berry J. Hawkins cleaned up really nice. I did notice the dates were different. The guy who created the memorial lives in Ohio and evidently has a plot map of the Cemetery and just creates memorials. If you need something changed he will respond, but it takes a few weeks.

Evan Brown
Lee and Oleta Jean photos and info
Hi Janet:

I added photos of Lee Jean and Oleta Jean (Memorial nos. 90428658 and 9042859).

I also set up memorials for Oleta's parents, Fred "Jum" Brown and Ethel Burford Brown(Memorial nos. 111303919 and 111306259), if you'd like to link those. Jum was my grand uncle. (His brother Oscar was my great grandfather.)

Lee Jean's parents are Frank B. Jean and Ina Belle Lee Jean, buried down in Washington County (Memorials 81364784 and 81394981) if you're willing to link those.

Hope this is helpful. Thank you!

I have added the headstone of Albert to confirm the dates that I had put into Find-A-Grave. It has 1955 on there. Sorry.

Have a great weekend!!
