Mann Cemetery requests
I would like to go out there. I know where it is so that would be a problem. I try to work it in sometime in the next month or so.

RE: George Burns - Greenlawn Cem
Yes, you already have an open request for a photo of George Burns' headstone (dated June 14, 2013). That's how I came to look up the plot location. I've been (slowly) researching plot locations for open requests (in alphabetical order). The requests with locations identified are more likely to be handled first since Green Lawn is so huge (about 360 acres) that having the location is a must. Now that a location has been added, it shouldn't be too awfully long before a volunteer does a search for this stone. Hang in there!

RE: George Burns - Greenlawn Cem
Hi! The email wasn't to take over management of this memorial. (Or at least it should not have been. I haven't seen a copy yet of what F-a-G sent to you. But I do not want to take over the memorial as Mr. Burns is not a relative.) What you should have received from me was a request to simply add the plot location (Section 82, Lot 323) to the memorial. Section 82 of Green Lawn is located not far from the southernmost boundary of the cemetery, immediately west of & adjacent to the red road. 82 is bordered on the north by section 75, and on the south by section 90. Hope this helps. Let me know if I've only added to the problem!

RE: Edward Murnahan
His is the only tombstone with a name or anything else on it and inside a small wire fence. The rest are only markers. It is out in the middle of a cow pasture and has deteriorated quite a bit since the last time my father was there. Email me directly for more info on the family. I am curious as to what line you descend from.

Verna Mae (BIAS) ADAMS
Pam,

How are you....I am looking at burials in Woodmere and noticed that you had entered the maiden name and surname of your aunt Verna Mae backwards.....right now it is reading that her married name was Bias and her maiden name was Adams.

I know what a stickler you are so thought I had better send you a quick note.

Carrie

Joseph Lynn
Hi Pam, Just sent a private e-mail to you with the specific information listed for Joseph F. Lynn in William Page Johnson's book. He has 1 pages of primary & secondary sources listed. If you need or want that information, I'd have to make a hard copy & mail it to you, don't have the ability at the library to make a copy I could e-mail to you. Hope it's helpful to you!
Regards, Robbie

RE: Thank You !!
I drive by Fairfax City Cemetery all the time so easy enough to pop in for a picture.
By the way are you familiar with a compilation by William Page Johnson, II Iberian Publishing Co., Athens, GA in 1995 titled Brothers and Cousins: Confederate Soldiers and Sailors. This book might have more information on your soldier - for some he has added specific birth & death information. I did notice it listed the wife & daughter & some specific dates for Joseph Lynn.
Regards, Robbie
