Would you please check your entries for Heiberger UMC? This cemetery is in Perry County and not Marion County.

E.C. Phillips... our common ggg-mo!

Was just in Hillsboro and photo'd the tombstone for Elizabeth Catherine (Hunton) Phillips, wife of Seaborn, the Civil War vet. Being my hubby's line, I've done considerable work on this. Seaborn and Elizabeth had several children; the youngest was Annie who first married B. Creger and (according to the 1900 census of Hillsboro) was living with her parents, a widow, with Katie, age 2, and Burnett, age 1. Annie went on to marry 2nd, a Mr. Hamilton. I'm guessing that you are Burnett's daughter?? Found you listed on Find-A-Grave. Would so love to get in touch with you! My email is

Rebecca Wilson
Lydia Halladay
There is a burial record for Lydia as interred in the same lot as her parents. The odd thing is, there is no marker there with her name, but there are two markers for Emily.
Front row, left to right:
Wm. Hannon (military marker)
Mother (Mary Hannon)
Emily (no dates)
Back row:
Large family marker (HANNON)
Alfred Hughes (d. 1936)
Frances Reynolds
Ruth Reynolds
Emily J Hughes (tree shaped).
Also I located the other Hannon in this cemetery and took photo of his (Wm.H. d.1950) marker. If you would like to have this one too, just make a request. Rebecca

Heath Cemetery Records, Hill County, TX
Hello yet again. I have reason to believe one of my husband's ancestors is buried at Heath Cemetery in an unmarked grave. Would you know the name of the person who has the records of burials at that cemetery (if there are any such records)?
I am looking for Orin Ward who was said to have been struck by lightning about 1922 in Blum. His sister is buried in that cemetery and I thought perhaps that was his final resting place but haven't been able to confirm or find a death certificate yet.

Will Gollihar
Florence Gollihar McCall was the sister of John B. Gollihar. She was not buried in Heath Cemetery rather she is buried in Mineral Wells, Texas. John B. Gollihar was my father.

John David Sykes
This headstone does not list the last name, only Baby John David. His last name should be McCall. My Aunt Florine Sykes who was actually his sister and was childless is buried in this plot also with their parents, Sarah & Moses McCall who are John David's parents. A logical mistake. I know his last name is McCall by the death certificate which I have a copy.
I have John David McCall already on findagrave Memorial # 107242130. So please do what ever is required to remove your memorial as it is now showing up on
Ancestry.comm. It shows my Aunt with a child and I knew that couldn't be.
Thanks for all of the graves you have listed. I am impressed.

Corrected mother of Fonzy Ivy
I'm not sure who had entered Fonzy Ivy's mother as Mary Louise (Shafer) Ivy, but I just corrected his mother on his Memorial in Bethlehem Cemetery, Whitney, Hill County, TX using the "Edit Button" on Find a Grave. I want to give you a bit more information in case someone challenges this correction.

Fonzy's mother was Matilda "Tillie" (Roberts) who married Alexander Ivy Dec 20, 1891 in Hill County. Fonzy was born 1894. They divorced and each remarried.

Tillie married James Ward in 1897 and he died in 1901 and she married Jim Burgamy.

Alexander Ivy married Mary L. Shafer March 24, 1897.

Fonzy was a half-brother to my husband's father, Homer Ward and Alexander was an uncle to my husband's mother, Lena (Ivy) Ward.

For confirmation see Fonzy Ivy's death certificate which lists "maiden name of mother: Tillie Roberts".

Photo request
You have a photo request at Holy Cross Cem. in Detroit. Their records show a burial in Sec H, Lot 72 for a baby William Gilboe with 07-26-1915 as the date of death. Also, there is no marker. I suggest you delete your photo request.

Yates Cemetery
Hello Cathy,
I am creating a Memorial on Find a Grave for ALEXANDER H HAWKINS at Yates Cemetery in Hill County after seeing that's where he is buried according to his death certificate. He died at Aquilla. Is that near the location of the cemetery? Since your photograph of the cemetery is the one used on the website, I was hoping you could add a little more information about its location.

ALEXANDER H. HAWKINS was married, but his spouse's name is not given, although it did given his mother's name as Mary E. Grey. The informant on the death certificate was A. L. Hawkins, Aquilla. had his name transcribed as Celexas Der H Hawken (?) but it was legible enough for me to read. I had been given his exact death date or I would never have located it in my search. His daughter married my husband's cousin 1x removed, so not a close relative but I hope one of his closer descendants is able to locate his burial place and perhaps add even more information.

Thanks for your help in this and for all the other Memorials you have created.
