RE: Mrs. Martha Pennington
Martha and Harvey Pennington are seen together in the 1900, 1910, 1920 censuses in Ashe county. The Martha Pennington buried at the state hospital died in 1905. Harvey died in 1921, this Martha in 1922. Her maiden name was Brooks.

Yes, the will do the first couple for free, especially if it is clear that it is for a family member. However, after that they charge $25 for 4 lookups. As a photo volunteer, I have long since used up my free lookups.

Charlie,

You're quite welcome; it's a pleasure to assist. I was fortunate to find their crypt; the public Loudon Park records only go up to 1985 and the cemetery charges for lookups. However, I started a project to document all of the mausoleum interments and the Lauers happened to be one that I found so far working on that project.

Happy New Year to you as well.

Regards,
Joe Canner

Laura
Ira Rickards, Hollywood Cemetery
Hi! I was looking at the photo requests for Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington DE today and noticed your note on Ira Rickards' request. I did a little digging. In the 1900 census Ira was living with his father, James Rickards and his sister Huldah. It appears there was no mother in the residence at that time. Huldah later married Alexander Colegrove. On her death certificate, which is posted on her Find A Grave memorial (#11307832) her parents are listed as Sallie Lloyd and James Rickards. Not sure if Huldah and Ira had the same mother, but that's all the info I could see. I will look around when I go to the cemetery to find the grave & take the pic.

Yes, Mareen Duvall is in our Meroney family line. This is where I discovered that my parents have a common ancestor. I will appreciate any information you can find. the main road block I am working on is proving my 3rd g-grandfather was the son of Capt Philip Duvall Meroney for my DAR

I am trying to locate the grave of my 3rd great grandfather, but have not been able to tie him in to his father, Capt Philip Maroney/Meroney. I would really appreciate it you have any information on him that I can use for the DAR application.

Thanks.
