Duplicate Memorial
This memorial, 6509157, has a duplicate, # 50870329 which was created in 2010 by her 2nd great-grandson. I wonder, since the other memorial has more information, if you would consider deleting this one even though it was created first.

RE: Myron Newkirk
Thank you Barry for the transfers. Unreal how long is takes to find all the family members sometimes. I have to squeeze genealogy into my family life when I can, usually late at night. But at least there are volunteers out there helping to put the info out there for us to find. I appreciate it so much!

RE: Jared Spencer 94144156
I checked all my records on this Jared and I don't actually know where he was born. His wife Hannah who lived into her 90's is listed in the 1855 NY Census as being born in Columbia Co.. NY and in the 1865 NY Census as being born in Dutchess Co. NY. I'm afraid that is the best I can give you on hints.

Good luck

RE: Thomas
Yes, my "Leggett" graveyard is getting filled. By the way Emily (Hemmings) Leggett Carlson was the widow of Thomas Oliphant Leggett. Seeing your post has let me add an additional spouse to her part of the family tree.

Peter Drysdale
St. Mary's
Hello Barry;

I'd be happy to look for John Oppelt, but I need to know the name of the town, state, country, etc. where St. Mary's is located. I've been to maybe a dozen St. Mary's in the past few years. I can't guarantee I'll be back to any of them soon, but I'll let you know. If you haven't done so already, I'd recommend you put in a photo request with findagrave for John at the St. Mary's in question. Perhaps a local photographer can get to it sooner than me.

incorrect transcription
Hi Barry, I've been looking for my ancestor FERDINAND ERDT (1846-1885) and wondered why he wasn't buried with his family. I just realized that his name was listed as FERDINAND FROT (1846-1885), and since he died shortly after arriving in Albany, his wife (MINNE YANKE ERDT) probably couldn't afford a plot so buried him in her sister's family plot (BERTHA YANKE BANDELOW). Wondered if spelling could be changed on the list from FROT to ERDT.

Thank you!

Hi Barry,
Thanks for posting so many memorials for Eagle Hill. It's made figuring out some of these worn stones a lot easier!

Catherine Graves
Hi Barry,
I called St. Paul's to locate Catherine's plot. The one they pointed me to had no Catherine, just Elizabeth (wife of John Knapp) and Helena (wife of John Dugan). I also found Carl W. and Dorothy I. Graves. I have pictures if you are interested in these. I'll call St. Paul's on thursday to clarify this.

Anna Colfer #6508859
Barry, I am trying to help someone out with photographing a monument of Anna Colfer #6508859 at Eagle Hill Cemetery in Albany, NY. You are listed as managing this site and you added this record to Find a Grave on Jun 14, 2002. I have been in contact with a person who has the records from St Paul' Church but they have no record of this person on their records. Do you have any more info that may help me locate her. Did you find this information by visiting the cemetery or from paper records? They asked me if I had maybe parents name or husband name that Anna may be buried with. Any help you can offer is appreciated. I too am a Find a Grave volunteer and live in Albany, NY. (

Wrick Bible records
I don't think I got back to you to tell you that I have made a tentative connection to these Bible records. I was contacted by another Wrick relative with Wricks on find a grave. He had an ancestor that wrote a Wrick family history with sketchy info going back to the original imigrant who was not named. I was able to piece it together with other info, and come up with what I have on
Thanks again, Larry
