Father of Abraham Babcock
Hi Sue,
Saw your memorial for Abraham Babcock (26 Apr 1836 - 26 Mar 1905). Think he's related to me through a brother Franklin Pierce Babcock. But I think his parents were John & Rachel Babcock of NY/NJ
see 1850 census image:

I can't find any Isaac & Mary Babcock matching this Abraham.

Memorial tokens
Hi - I notice that sometimes you include genealogical info in your tokens. This is not allowed according to the FAQs - thought you should know.

RE: Lewis Family at Cedar Lawn

You are welcome! I'm glad I was able to find the graves for you.

Regarding the Lewis transfers -- I thought you might like to have them and they are no relation to me. You should ask the other person to transfer the Abers to you as well. People usually comply if they aren't related.

RE: Mary Beck
Mary Beck (1869-1933) is the correct Mary Beck; and is listed as such on two old lists for Vaughan Cemetery. You can see the "Mary" in the photo of the gravestone & I was there today and though the stone is worn, could make out Mary. In the obits Mary K. 1st husband is Charles Schneider, there is one listed in Old Newton Cem (19232366) who drowned June 20, 1880. The Church record states Old Newton, but it could be the newer cem on Woodside Ave. In the 1918 obit of Peter Kollbacher Mary is listed as Mary KELLER. This type of listing in this time period might mean her husband is dec. or divorced. There is an Augustus Keller born Aug 1856 in the census that is divorced. MIGHT BE. Then in the 1932 obit Mary K. is listed as Mary BECK in Butler, therefore she CANNOT be the wife of CHARLES BECK in Vaughan Cem as he died in 1889. But some other Charles Beck. She is in that plot because she is daughter of Peter K.
Please check your names before you post them, as many I have listed years ago, & you can post photos on any of my postings. I find names in cemeteries because many do not have accurate old records.

RE: Alfred Gladys photo
It was just pure chance I asked for it one day after you posted it. I am in the middle of some fresh leads ancestry research. I do not just do direct lines. I sure would appreciate the picture. I am what probably could be termed a HALF first cousin of Alfred P. Ullmer. His father Alfred Ullmer Jr. was my half brother of my mother (living), and his grandfather was my grandfather, Alfred J. Ullmer. Long story but Alfred was married three times and sired his last child at 68!

And IF you are related I have a treasure trove of photos of the family! You say Alfred P. is your uncle and I guess you would mine quite a few photos of your grandfather as a child, and adult!

Yes, you can use my email.

Alfred Gladys photo

I visited your entry for Alfred Ullmer and you posted a picture of Gladys and Alfred Ullmer. Is it possible for you to email me a larger resolution? Thanks in advance!

RE: Thank You
The church across the street is Paramus Reformed. Quite a few of the stones are broken and/or missing. That cemetery predates Valleau. When I started photographing Valleau I had assumed that Paramus Reformed was photographed. After I finish I can look into whether it was done or not. i haven't photographed anything in a few months - the weather is absolutely horrible. I do not know anything about the accessability of the church records. I do know the ridgewood library has books of transcribed vital records. They were not packed for the renovation and can still be accessed now.

RE: Garret J. VanDien
It seems to be the same person. His service info matches the stone. Did you look at it? Do you want me to move the photo to your memorial? If so which one?
