|Renee Taylor||RE: Flavie and Jean B. Lambert|
Oh wow, I would have never of guessed that! How sad to think that he died before coming here, and that Flavie would pass away a year after arriving. Flavie and Jean appear to be my 2nd great grandparents. They had another son, (Memorial# 126982444 )Joseph who is my great grandfather. There have been so many mysteries within my family, and I've been trying to put the pieces together on ancestry. Thank-you so much for your time and information, as I am going to add it to my tree. I really appreciate that!

|Mary S.||Field Edits|
BTW, it just occurred to me - you do know to look at the Edit Tab on your profile page to view these, right? :-) I have no idea why Find A Grave made this change and never notified anyone. And it's pretty clear that a lot of people don't know they won't ever get emails about edits made this way. Anyway, I thought I should mention it...

You're welcome! I know it took me a while to get used to them, and there are still some glitches. Sure hope they work those out soon.

Thanks for the link! (But you'll want to start using the field edits instead of sending links as "Other" - SO much easier for the memorial manager!).

Hi, I am trying to find information on the location of a burial of Ann Catherine Crocker Janes. She married Simeon or Simon Janes in Henry Co., Iowa near New London 17 Jan 1861. He seems to have been some younger than her. In the 1880 Census they were Simon Janes age 45, Shoemaker** born in England.
Ann C.(Catherine) Janes age 50 born in Maryland-parents born Engl. Parents Sampson & Mary Crocker at Burge cemetery but no stone for Ann Catherine.
"Wed.,May 6, 1908-Mt. Pleasant News" stated that Mary Ann Jeanes of New London died Monday May 5th and was to be returned from Kansas to New London, Ia. The Funeral would be on Wednesday possibly the 6th, and would be held at "U. P. church" with burial there. --No cemetery was listed and I am uncertain if it is the United Presbyterian church that held the funeral. Since you have the Farlow and Burge cemeteries in your list, is there anyway to determine where in this area she might have been buried. If she was in Kansas and returned, I suspect Simon Janes or Jeanes was buried there at a later date or had already left her, as I think he was actually much younger than he stated in 1880.
Elisha Janes was also a shoemaker so I think they were related--any ideas how I can track down her grave site? There should have been a stone, but maybe no one in the family placed one on her grave. She had no children.

Thank you for the information! I'm working my way through the Congressional archives, but it's slow going--I've had hundreds transferred to me, and I like to find as much as I can. I appreciate your finding this for me!

I tried to get a better picture of the dates on William Wharton's gravestone. I was unsuccessful. I couldn't make out the dates while standing in front of the memorial.

I can't delete a photo that you added. I think you can delete it by clicking or doubleclicking on it and will give you options.
PS. I added some Civil War data for Lindsay Lamb on his memorial.

|Ann Tomica||RE: Effie Bacon death date|
It does appear to say died Sept 20.
My information with dates comes from the book
The Bacons in Washington Co., Ohio and
Mahaska Co., Iowa, 1931 by Eli Bacon Vincent
I assume Sept 20 was actually the burial date.

|Mo (Baxter) & Dave Gates||RE: Parsons Cemetery in Oakville|
On the Louisa County cemetery list it has ..
"Parsons #1 (Toolesboro)"
"Parsons # 2 (Highway 99)"
On Find a Grave the two cemeteries are in fact the same one.
Dave and I have looked for the "Parson # 1 and have never found it. We have been to the one on Highway 99 and taken photos. And it is between both towns ..maybe a little closer to Toolesboro...
Hope this helps!
