Thomas Dodson- Dodson Graveyard
Zella,
Thank you so much for you work and your standards. I appreciate the work you volunteer for.
My reason for writing is two fold. In the Dodson Graveyard in East Freedom, PA are there photos of the headstones available? Second question, where did you obtain the information, dates, for your memorials.
Our Dotson family researchers is trying to determine if by DNA tests results if this line is a link in our family. A written family history without documentation, has a different death year, close but not the same.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Caroline A. Vonarok Hackenberg and John Hackenberg
Hello Zella,

My Momma and I stumbled onto your site as we were looking through family history on ancestry.com. We came across this photo and entry for Caroline A. Vonarok Hackenberg and were wondering if by chance, there was a John or Johan Hackenberg buried close by? If so, we would love to have a photo of his gravestone as well as any information that is on it.

If there is a charge, please let me know. The link to Caroline's "post" is below.

Thank you kindly!
Susan H. Pardoe

P.S. Caroline is my Momma's grandmother and my great-grandmother. :)

Thank You!!!
I am preparing a Genealogy History for my Fiancee as a wedding gift and your thorough information has provided me with so much information on his family. It is amazing I have helped many people through my 20 years of research, but never thought how much a bit of my research could do so much as yours has for his family. Thank you. Amanda

name corrections
My mother's name is Ruth Mays Hampton - Hayes needs to be deleted - It also appears in my Father's obit, Samuel J Hampton Jr as Ruth M Hayes Hampton - it is only Ruth M Hampton, M standing for Mays. There were no Hayes, in our family ever. Thanks Aunt Ruth.

Hi, Zella

No, I don't know which, (if either), are correct. He might even have been born in the U.S, for all I know.

First, thank you for posting this picture and info. However, I'm a little confused. My G.-G.-Grandfather's birthplace is listed as both "County Clare" and "Dublin". The former is on the west coast of Ireland by the North Atlantic Ocean, while the latter is on the east coast by the Irish Sea. Are both of these places listed on the headstone?

Sincerely,
Dennis B. Swaney

Thanks
Zella,
Thanks for the Murphy transfers. Have contacted St. Vincent's Church to see if they have records of baptisms and burials. Believe other "Carroll" relatives are buried there but no headstones. Again thanks for records work in Akron. Hopefully will make trip there this summer.

Murphy, Elizabeth & George
Hi,

Elizabeth E. Carroll Murphy [1861-1932] is the sister of my gr grandfather Patrick Henry [Harry] Carroll. She was one of 18 children. She married George Murphy. Both are buried together in St Vincents. Thank you so much for registering them. Eliz: 68414681; Geo: 68414526. I have more bio information for them both. Would you like to add it to the page or would you like to transfer them to me? My goal is to find the markers for her parents Henry [Harry] Carroll, Sr and Mary Brady Carroll who may also be buried there and to link the family. Also Elizabeth's sister Mary Hannah Carroll Masterson [1868-1922]is also buried there. Husband John P. Masterson.

Again thank you for this wonderful find. Will be waiting for your reply.

RE: Hanchett
Zella -

I appreciate you think it destroys the credibility and usefulness of the site, and will re-evaluate any of my memorials that may not have a cemetery, however I have found it in most cases to be extremely helpful to others looking for family connection to those that are confirmed to be buried at a particular cemetery. I have been contacted by other family members and either have helped them locate others I know of or have been helped by confirming that they too have not been able to find the burial location.

I always try to search the whole site for that particular person at any cemetery BEFORE I set up a memorial and before setting an actual memorial up at a specific cemetery I get verification through a death certificate or other documentation that they are in deed buried there....this is what I did for my 4xgreat grandparents Dr. Elijah & Elizabeth Durkee-Hanchett...then back in 2011, after waiting over 4 years, I set up their memorials. I try all sources for documentation, and many times because of a fire and destroying of documents during a certain period, or other circumstances, it is difficult to confirm the burial place. I am in CA, and have actually went to OH to visit my family graves a few years ago...so I really do appreciate volunteers that go to the cemeteries out there which are so far from where I live.

Again thanks for all your help, and if you do get a photo of Elizabeth's grave, I'd really appreciate it. You can email me at renetann@aol.com

HANCHETT
Oh my gosh, I am so thrilled! I have been looking for a lot of my Hanchett family (bloodline) for so long, specifically my 4x great grandmother's grave! And today I found that you have a memorial wtih a photo! Can't thank you enough...will still look into this cemetery's listings so I can find other family but was excited to find it. I have had a memorial set up for her for a long time without a known cemetery....

Can you email me at renetann@aol.com

Thanks so much.

I have deleted the extra sites for Conrad Metzler. Thank you for catching that. Conrad and Flora are my great-grandparents. I am wondering if there are gravestones for them. Since I live in Oregon, it is not possible for me to search this cemetery. I do have pictures of them and plan to add more informaiton. I would appreciate it if you could look into this for me. Thanks aganin, Millie Metzler Roberts
