I have info on John Hritz brother of (not.son of) Michael and Mary Hritz of Streator. But maybe you mean their stepson, John Mihalovich.

|Robbin Stokes||So Sorry!|
I did not add that the cemetery is Millertown- sorry for the omission- didn't want you to wonder which cemetery a Smith is in!

|Robbin Stokes||Thank you for your hard work!|
I ma most impressed with all that you have done. My family roots are in Rens. Co. though I now live in MI. I sent in a correction for one family member through the FindAGrave link- regarding William C Smith and Margaret Smith. She is his mother and not his wife. His wife is Helen Gloss Smith. Several other family members are in the same cemetery, with several different last names.

|jsmycs||John Frederick Eycleshymer|
Hi Denise F,
I see that you have added Find A Grave memorials for the Eycleshymer Family in Pittstown, Rensselaer County, New York, in East Pittstown Methodist Cemetery.
My 3rd Great Aunt, Sybil Jane Sherman married Nicholas A. Eycleshymer on February 5, 1845 in White Creek, Washington County, New York. In June 25, 1880 they are living in Pittstown, Rensselaer County, New York.
Nicholas A. Eycleshymer is the son of Nicholas Eycleshymer (1788-1875), Find A Grave Memorial #54817431, and grandson of John Frederick Eycleshymer, your Find A Grave #68082864.
My question is; do you have any information as to the death and burial information for Nicholas A. Eycleshymer (1818-??) and his wife, Sybil Jane Sherman Eycleshymer (1821-??) and or if they are buried in the East Pittstown Methodist Cemetery?
I would appreciate any information as I have run into a brick wall as to their death and burial.
Thanks & Best Regards,

|Andrea MacDermot||Elizabeth De la Rie Cleber|
Hi Denise, Thank you for all of the information and photographs you posted for/about the Harkema family. I am one of the 18 grandchildren of Peter Harkema, my mother being Dorothy Harkema Bolla. I was particularly thrilled to see the photo of my mother's grandmother, Elizabeth Cleber. My mom use to tell me stories about Grandma Elizabeth but I never dreamed I'd be able to see what she looked like! I've called some of my Cleveland cousins (I live in Nevada) and they were as surprised and pleased as I was. Is there a way I can get directly in touch with you? Perhaps we can exchange family stories. Regards, Andrea

It's a small church cemetery, they don't have an office but there may be a phone number listed for the church and they may have records or be able to put you in touch with some one who does.

I'm not sure what you mean by "if the cemetery is close enough that you would be willing to check"... check what? Her stone was found in that cemetery, that's how I got the photo.

I kind of assume that the other John Hritz & Anna there were his parents, but no, sorry, have no other info at this time. I will try & get to the local library in the next week or so to see if I can find an obituary for John Jr. to see if it can confirm his parents or any other family connection.

|rodmac||RE: Jacob Bieder|
I've photographed all the tombstones that I found for the Bieder family. While I haven't stopped by the office, and it is possible I missed something, it seems likely that Charles is buried there without a stone.
I hope you have a great Christmas as well!

|shadows||RE: Anna Petro memorial 98146432|
Hi. I did some more checking on info for the memorial. In Lake County death records it lists her age at death as 5 months. The year of birth on the stone is 1892. I have found mistakes on stones before, so this could be the case here.
I found a Helene or Helena with a husband Mike. The 1900 census states she is the mother of 4 children with only two living. Since they are the only ones I saw on the census, I am assuming that this would be their child. But I don't have proof of this. Sorry I can't help any more than this.

Good, it's great to know you are still active.
I haven't been sending corrections because I didn't think you were around anymore. Thanks.

I am very familiar with this cemetery... I live in Averill Park and it is only about 25 minutes from me.. I would be glad to look for gravestones for you next spring.

I am so grateful for all you intrepid cemetery searchers. I am asking that you check your notes on the above referenced, Mary J (Faulkner) Miller whom you have as wife of Reuben W Miller. I believe she is his daughter, and is Mary J (Miller) Faulkner. Both Reuben W and Sally Miller were alive in the 1880 census as husband and wife, in Pittstown, NY, and their daughter, Mary J Miller was born in 1849.

|James Wade||Almon Hoyt grave location|
My wife and I spent over an hour combing the cemetery for Almon's headstone but could not find it. Where within the cemetery is it located? The grave location on Find-a-grave doesn't help unless I have a gird map. The cemetery has a central drive. Is the grave located to the right or left of the drove? Is it near the front or the back of the cemetery? Almon is my second great grandfather and I'm stuck on him. I cannot get back to his parents.

|Jim Spain||Gertrude Brundige|
Hi--my mom was Dorothy Brundige b. 1917. I was just working on my family tree and I see you have Gertrude Brundige in Millertown Cemetery Pittstown. Not sure if this is the same person I'm working on, but I just found a Gertrude C Brundige b. abt 1877 in Pittstown, and died 12 Feb 1950 in Cambridge, NY, where she worked as a housekeeper for years, never married, and most likely buried someplace in Pittstown. I'm thinking this might be the same person. Any chance you could get a photo of the stone, and if the same person, add the vitals (or xfer maint to me and I'll update).

|JanisG||John and Irene Gundling|
Hi! We took some photos at a Cleveland, Ohio cemetery last month, and I am now working on putting the photos up and/or making memorials for them. One double stone is for John and Irene Gundling. I researched him a bit and found that he is brother to your Carl Gundling, Jr. Would you like the two memorials for John and Irene? I saw that his brother and mother are in your virtual cemetery. Let me know! Here is John's memorial number: 89003885

I have been researching this family. I don't know if I have anything to add to what you already have but I would love to compare notes. I have been able to find them in a couple of census records.

Although we have never met but, you have found a friend.. I was at this cemetery 9/10/2011 and took about 45 photos and have posted them on Find A Grave.. It is a great cemetery and pretty easy to locate gravesite. Although as you enter most of the older stones on the left are pretty well unreadable and broken, the majority of gravesites are great to find and read.. Check it out and see if it meets your approval..
