RE: More Info
Mary Hewitt was Rosetta and James' daughter, so that confirms my beliefs. Thanks for making the transfer. If you want me to take over the other Bradley/Badleys, I'll be happy to. Not sure if they're all connected... some may actually be Bradleys, but maybe some are part of our family. I would love to connect their daughter Lydia (my late husband's grandmother... she's in IA) to them but her name is listed incorrectly and I can't make contact with the contributor to make the changes. I've been trying for over 6 months.

Thank you for the information. I have linked him. Would you please consider adding the family photo to Rudy's memorial? (the one that is on his father's memorial?) Thanks!

Melissa,

I am helping a friend research her family for her children. They descend from Daniel Oliver through his son Shadrack. I would enjoy speaking with you if you're related to this family

RE: Link Doty

Hello Melissa,

Sorry for the late response, but I was out of town for the last five days.

All your requests have been fulfilled. I did not find a Curtis for Alcona Co., MI, as one of the towns to select. There is only a Curtisville. In looking up Curtisville, it sounds as if Curtisville was known as Curtis during the 1883 time period. Is that correct? If so, I will choose 'Curtisville' but add a note about the name change.

Best Regards,

RE: Sanilac County Info.
Hi Melissa,

Thank you for the information on the obituary. Yes, I would like the Beers memorials transfered to me, even though I am not a direct descendent on that line of the family.

Thanks,
Alan

Ridge Cemetery, Beers & Kirbys
Hi Melissa,

Thank you for all the work you have done on the memorials for those buried at Ridge Cemetery, Sanilac Twp, Sanilac County, MI. I was there about a week ago, just before our annual Kirby family reunion in Port Austin.

Where did you get the obituary for Ellen Kirby Beers? She was a sister to my GG-Grandfather, Vincent Eli Kirby. I am trying to find where their parents are buried; they were Eli Kirby and Mary Katherine Hardy Kirby. Kirby has sometimes been spelled Cirby or Curby. They lived near the Ridge Cemetery from about 1850 to about 1879, and then they seem to disappear!

I am a recent member of Find A Grave. Any tips you might share would be greatly appreciated. My email is alanwismer@hotmail.com

Keep up the good work!

Thanks,
Alan Wismer

Ernest and Nora Cook
I seemed to have intertwined two sets of people into one set.

Volunteer Bill had provided photos of Ernest and Nora Cook's headstones. I inadvertently commented on them on my last message which was about the Wood transfers!

RE: Wood
I live in Missouri. I've been to the Ridge Cemetery once, back in about 2002 when we took my mom to Canada for a visit. Had completely forgotten about the cemetery until I came across your memorials for the Henry Cook crew.

Ernest and Nora's mother was Clara. I'm still researching her, so I haven't put up a memorial because I only have her name as yet.

RE: Millie Lymburner Greenwood
Hi~ I was going over my past messages and I've recently found two relatives that have lots of info on Lymburner's.
In your note to me, you said you are related to Millie's brother Arza, would you share your tree with me and any pictures/stories? I'm going to get some stories from my mother and will let you know when I get them online.

RE: Quance
Thank you. I must admit this is a line that I haven't researched much of. But since finding where William was buried and also finding out he served in the Civil War I am becoming more interested. Not only of him but the rest of the Quance family. I will definitely check out the library.

William Quance Memorial
Melissa,

I was wondering if you would mind transferring William Quance's memorial to me. That is if you are not directly related to him. He is my third great-grandfather. I would appreciate it very much.

Hi, Melissa; Google(Michigan Online Historical Newspapers) and you will find the Owosso Argus Press, it is a free site. My Father's sister Betty Lane Delay married Charles Lee Apsey Jr in 1948. Aunt Betty passed in Aug 2009 and is buried at Hillcrest in Owosso.

I noticed that one of your family surnames is "Hutchison". I'm looking for more genealogy info on this man:

Do you have any info on this family line?
Or maybe this may in turn benefit you.

RE: Henry Cook and family
You are TRULY an angel in the form of a Find A Grave volunteer!!!! Thank you so much for the transfers. I am honored to be responsible for their memorial pages!

I have had only the name and birth date of my mother's great grandfather Henry Cook and his wife Nancy Milner Harrison -- although I do have some info on the Harrisons.

I am not aware of any connection with the other two mentioned, but being buried in the same cemetery, it's very likely is a connection.

If you want to transfer them, I'd be glad to find if there is a connection. Or if you'd like to keep them to see if you find one, I'd undesrtand that as well.

I am just so very thrilled -- and no, I don't have marriage info on these ancestors. I would love to have that!

I've been working on a small cemetery near here to help the caretaker know exactly who is buried where. She only has a master plot map that shows who bought what plot. She's in her early 80s and is concerned about being able to pass on her records to someone and wants to be sure they are as complete as possible. I'm doing this for her because I know her and she's a wonderfully sweet woman. It is fun!! And very addicting!

Thank you so much for the work you do!!!
