Katie, you are sure a wordsmith! Good detective work I might add. The name carved on this old stone is indeed SANFORD STROUT. I don't know how to get it changed on the city computer records, but this is not the first one I've come across that differs from the gravestone in the short time I have been a volunteer photographer!

|Delores W. Roe||Cassandra, Cassie McGuire Stubblefield|
Thank you for the notification of the duplicate for my great great aunt. I was given the transfer from the ladies who read the cemetery.
They did not know how to delete their posting for my gg aunt. Cassandra had used many spelling of her first name in her life time. This created then a double post. I have left it as was so other family can find her information.
I had made the memorial for her already under McGuire as she was a lost aunt.
Later through my ancestry. com research, more research etc. I finally found my aunt under Stubblefield, which is on her cemetery, she married at an old age to Mr. Stubblefield.
Thank you again.

Thank you for the transfer! I really appreciate it! I also wanted to tell you how much I appreciate what you're doing with old photographs! I had a sweet lady contact me, who had found a photograph with my ancestor's name on the back. She let me purchase it back for the price she paid. She also directed me to the antique shop where she had found it. I discovered over 100 photographs and postcards which had ended up there after an estate had been sold off. Many had no names, but I recognized my great grandmother, and a couple other relatives, in some of them. I can't even express how much joy it brought me. You are really giving people an incomparable gift!

Hi, Katie. I am writing regarding Find A Grave Memorial #111910377, which you added in 2013. The name of the decedent (according to the gravestone and family history) is Jacqueline June Needham but the spelling on the record is Jackyline. Would you please change it so it is correct?
Just curious -- are you a relation (and, if so, how?) or just a helpful Find A Grave person? Ms. Needham would have been my mother's first cousin.

I have been researching my family for many years and having very hard time with locating my great uncle Herman Schmelzer. The above noted memorial could possibly be a clue. Is there any further information you have on this memorial. Or any suggestions where I could get more info.

|Carol Harmon||Florence Dawson|
At the Silverton Cemetery you have a memorial for Florence Dawson. I have been trying to locate a Florence Dawson b. in Michigan about the same year , 1890 who just kind of disappeared after the 1900 census while living with her uncle's family in Douglas Co. Oregon. Are you related to this Florence in your memorial? She left Michigan with her mother who had divorced because of bad abuse by the husband and were kind of hiding from him. So if you are related to her somehow,
would you let me know?

|Marcie Clark||Masonic Cemetery Gervais|
Hi there. I am now the full time caretaker at the Gervais cemetary and I wanted you to know just how much your research has helped us in our work there. You have listed headstones that were no longer visible and with your records we have been able to find 8 out of 14 unaccounted for. We have also found a couple that are not on your record. Would you like pictures of the headstone? I can send them to you if you want them.
Sincerely, Marcie Clark

Too bad you couldn't delete the prior person's photo, I cannot believe he took chalk and scribbled on it like that, I put a new photo that is perfectly clear so not sure why he did that :-)
I think the only ones who can delete the pictures are the ones who posted them which is a bummer in cases like this --
