|Debra H||RE: Looking for James M Harper|
I spoke to a board member of Sloan cemetery who looked through their directory & cemetery book and did not find a listing for James Harper at Sloan - doesn't mean he is not buried there, but if he is they don't know about it. Maybe I should try looking for a local newspaper obit - if I can find out what the local newspaper was during 1895-1900. Thank you for your help!

I'm stumped. Can't figure out what person has added the most memorials for Sloan Cemetery, except some who don't live nearby, and there is no phone listing for them. Since you are a photo volunteer in that area, thought maybe you could help. I know that my ancestor James M Harper was living in Sloan Village, Woodbury, Iowa during 1895. Not on 1900 census so assume he died 1895-1900 and probably buried at Sloan (his son George Marion Harper is buried at Logan Park). Do you ever get to Sloan cemetery? Would you happen to know who I could contact for a search of their burial records?

Thank you so much for the wonderful photo of Rory's headstone. I am wondering if you would allow me to use the photo in the tree I am working on for my friend of 60 years. I will give credit for the photo and let people know that they can see the original photo at Find A Grave Memorial# 25775709.
Thank you again, and have a wonderful day,

Thank you so much for taking the Booton photo's. Iowa was the wife of my Great Grand Uncle William Ulysses Booton. Wish I knew if he had any descendants in that area yet. MUCH THANKS, again!
