RE: Staying in touch
Hi Dot,
Doing fine. Still working on my family tree a little. Sort of got bogged down with a bunch of death records I ran across in The Pulaski Citizen newspaper about a 10 year span in the 1960's. Found my great uncle's death record James Ruffus (Rufus) McClure in it. Been working on putting these on the Find A Grave web site. Don't know how much longer I will do this as it is a long list and almost all of them I am not related to but feel they would be appreciated by the ones doing research on their family tree as it list relatives in a lot of the death record.
Waiting on spring time to arrive for real. Been up and down last few weeks.
Talk to you later, Jesse

RE: Hardin
Yes, my mother was a Hardin from Hollywood, Al. She descends from James Hardin whose family came from Hardin County, TN. I do not have any knowledge of the Dr. Hardin that you mentioned.

RE: Family
You know, it was only today, with the discovery that Lizzie Sugg had married not just B.J., but Bryant Jarvis, Miers/Mires, that I got the full connection.

It's through the Ashby family but also, I hook in with Anthony Bates, because he married Mary "Polly" Milstead, sister of my 3rd-Grt-Grandfather, George Milstead.

Then of course, there's the Ashby line. Lots of intermarriages, though THEY were not all necessarily related. hahaha

I am going to be in the Moore Cemetery in two weeks. If you would like, and if there are any headstones, I would be more than happy to take a picture of the headstone and post it here. Let me know if that is good.

RE: FAG
Hello Dorothy,
Well I am kin to the McClure side through my maternal grandmother Myrtle Delila McClure (Brooks, Mayes) Counts. Her brother William Robert "Rob" McClure (Jessie & Lena's dad). Lena's daughter Mary Dee "Jean" Walker (Mitchell) married my brother Odis B Mitchell son Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Mitchell and live in McBurg, Lincoln, Tennessee. Myrtle Delila McClure Brooks Mayes Counts, first married Hiram Wilson Brooks and had my mother Katie Lou Brooks Mitchell (she married James Marion Francis "Jim" Mitchell my father). Hiram Wilson Brooks was drug to death by a mule or horse pulling laps or tree limbs out of woods when he got hung up in trace chains and was drug to death. This occurred somewhere near Huntland, Franklin, Tennessee in 1914.
Mother and Dad were related to each other through the Mitchell and McClure side. Myrtle Delila McClure Brooks Mayes Counts' paternal grandmother was Rebecca D Mitchell McClure wife of John Wesley McClure (their son Jesse Franklin McClure was the father of Myrtle Delila McClure and William Robert "Rob" McClure and others. Rebecca D Mitchell McClure was the sister to my paternal grandfather Franklin Foster Mitchell (dad's father).
So, if you are related to the J D "Tom" Ashby that married Jessie Pearl McClure then you are related we are related through marriage at least.
My e-mail address is jessemitchtarheel@yahoo.com
If you would like to communicate through e-mail instead of through Find A Grave you can contact me through my e-mail and I can give you any information you want that I have.
Thanks for contacting me and thanks for the corrections. Jesse R Mitchell

RE: Jacksons
Dont know if this is your Jerome but he was interred on Sept. 15 1918. He dosent have a wife or any children buried around him. He is in section H at Elmwood which is almost , about 90%, of Jewish heritage. If your Jerome has Jewish roots, this could be him. Ken

99% of what I've done is my Mother's side (Smallwood's & Preston.
My cousin on my fathers side has done quite a bit. Her genealogy was a lot tougher, because my grandparents on my dad's side were born in Denmark and Bavaria.

Hudson
Thank you for clearing this up.

As for the Hudson lines that you mention I do not have any of them listed in our Hudson Genealogy. I looked up their family tree's but find no connection. It would have been nice. I only go back to the late 1700's and I have the names of my great x3 grandfather and his brother. But beyond that I am at a brick wall. So there might be a distant connection.

Hugs
Stevi
