Heather Courtney
| RE: Courtney Hello, According to the current owner of the property, the house has been vacant since the 1970's. The last Courtney owner was Chester, who sold the home and moved to Idaho to work in the mines. The home was sold to the current owners in the 1940's and rented out till the 70's. I do have photos of Levi and Mary and will try to post them in the Findagrave pages for them. As for the chair, there was no chair at the house, and we are thinking that it might be owned by a relative. We had an amazing time at the Pomeroy museum, there really is so much Courtney history in that museum, the ladies there are so nice and helpful, and any Courtney decendant would be amazed to see what they have. They even have a hat, scarf, and shall worn by Mary in the photo we will post..truly amazing

| RE: Levi Courtney and the Courtney Homested The Courtney home is located in the southeastern portion of the Pataha Flat, and is owned by a decendant of Florence.
It is in bad shape and will probably fall due to age within the next 10 years.
As for photos of Levi and Mary, the Pomeroy Historical Musuem have photos and information regarding the family, and were able to provide us with may helpful items for our research.
We are currently working on a Courtney family website that will chronicle the family history of Levi Baxters direct relatives dating as far back to 1780.
How are you related to Levi, Levi Baxter, Mary, or Ella?Added by Heather Courtney on May 11, 2013 4:23 PM

| Florence (Coutney) Melton Dear Barbara While looking an old WA state microfilm I came accross the article below of Florence Melton from the Walla Walla Daily Buletin, the fore- runner of todays Walla Walla Union-Buletin. It has the date, as does the pictured tomb stone a Jan. 3, 1926. If you would like to add it, is is great reading. Jean Coston Coston Obit Service

Harold Balter
| Joan Rita McCurry I am a first cousin to Joan. My mother Snowie McCurry was Barney's sister. I stayed at Barney & Rita's home in 1942 when they lived out on a farm. Joan had a shetland pony "Buttercup" and a neat wagon that she hooked the pony to. We lived in Idaho at the time and made the trip to California for Christmas that year. I do not know any of Joan's children and never met either husband. I pray that she rests in peace. God BlessAdded by Harold Balter on Feb 01, 2013 7:27 PM | |

| Thank you for the inspiration Hello Gram,
You were so right when you said,"Listers that will NOT release your family members into your care. That is so petty and rude."
Thank God, most of the contributors that have watched over my family until I could locate them - transfered them right after I sent a request...some listers only want their numbers to look good..and others are just RUDE and HATEFUL.
I've had a few of the later but they are over shadowed by all of the good contributors and those that maintain and anage each loved one - until a family member sends a request. The majority have been the nicest Find A Grave folks, they've been helpful and welcomed me as well.
Thank you for all that you've done for Find A Grave and all that you continue to do - even if you can't walk the cemeteries. You have inspired me!
Thank You, ElaineAdded by Catfish Haven n Clio on Jan 26, 2013 10:11 PM

| Joshua King Trying to reconcile conflicting information on Joshua King. He has two Find A Grave memorials: 60729875 and 31433585, each linked to his wife Lucinda. One gives a death date in 1872; however, census records show him in Grundy County, Missouri in 1880. What sources and documentation do you have to help sort him out? Thanks!Added by Doreen McGowan on Jan 11, 2013 7:44 AM | |
