Sally, thank you for caring enough to set the record straight. There are two schools of thought here, one that supports genealogy and one that is a burial purist. I am of the genealogy persuasion and really want everything to be correct. Without people like you who are willing to set the record straight we would not have good documentation for our loved ones.

As to am I related? No. I was given a bulk transfer of that cemetery and am now the "holder of records"!

Please let me know if there is ever anything I can do for you. It would be my pleasure.

Accidental Duplicate
I do appreciate your letting me know that I had duplicated a memorial for Nannie Jarrell. I was not aware that I had duplicated and I have deleted it.

Yes, you are more than welcome to have used my gravestone photo for her on the memorial that you created. I believe in sharing the work here and am more than willing to do transfers as well as share photos. Have a great day!

Hi Sallie,
Unfortunately I can't remember where the headstone is located. However, I notice that a duplicate memorial initiated by Bill Owen records the location as Block 4, Lot 27.
I suggest you contact Bill as he will probably be able to help.
Regards,
Russ.

Irene Ashe
Ash family
Thank you for adding the link between Claude, Sr. and his father. The sister named Bertha was also called "Babe". She married Ole Gilson. You will note that she signed the death certificate for Jame Henderson Ash, Jr. I believe the other sister was "Lillian". I will have to delve deep in my files to be sure. Unfortunately, the brother-in-law who could tell me at the drop of a phone call passed away 2 weeks ago. He was James Henderson Ashe, III. I note that you have messages from the Chambless family. You might ask them. The grandaughter of James Henderson Ash was Cecille Ash, daughter of J.O. Ash. She married Rodney Chambless, Sr. I believe my father-in-law was the only sibling who used the e at the end of the name. There are kinfolk buried in Montgomery Co. who also used the e at the end.

I have another request related to James Henderson Ash #35586610.

Please link him to his son, Claude Harmon Ashe, Sr.

Thanks,

Irene Ashe

Ash records
Thank you. I feel you are more able to handle these. I am only an inlaw. My husband was Claude Harmon Ashe, Jr. He was the grandson of Bud & Eula.
His father Claude, Sr. is also buried in the Madisonville cemetery. My husband is buried at Eureka.

James Harmon "Bud" Ash
I thank you for entering the memorials for my in-laws. However, I must ask you to make a correction. His correct name was James Henderson Ashe, Jr. One of his sons was Claude Harmon Ashe. I was told the Harmon family was NOT kinfolk. Granny (Eula Heaton ASh) heard the name somewhere and liked it. Also, I believe the death date to be incorrect. I will check, but I believe it to be January, 1962, not April, 1962.
