Hi Jim...I was wondering, since you took the first photo I had requested of Roseanne's grave marker, when you have time, would you check to see if her son has put a headstone on her grave and take a photo of it. I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much for all of your help!

Hi Jim,
Thanks very much for the photos. Excellent quality. I especially like the one of the corridor containing the crypt. Gives the closeup a context.

Regards,
Alan

RE: VanDecar family
Hi Jim,
They are all transferred to you. If for some reason I missed any just let me know. I hope you are able to add more information to their pages. Sadly, the little stone for Abraham and Elizabeth fell over during the winter and it is still laying down on the ground. You can see the crack in the stone and it needs a professional to come fix it.

I just read your profile, that is so wonderful all of the work you do with photo requests in Hollywood! I would love so much to visit a cemetery in Hollywood! Take care,
-Alysia

RE: Hollywood Forever
Thanks, Jim.

I thought I was helping the situation as I'm not going to roam freely through the cemetery without a general location.

I am, however, heading out this weekend to do another round of photography, hope it helps!

Hey Jim,

I hope you had a great 4th. My roommate and I went to Mullholland and watched the valley. Had a great view of Universal Studios and Burbank Studios show. James

Actually, that fifth edit was adding Mary Vandecar's maiden name, which looks like it was added anyway, so no problem.

RE: Sue Brook
Jim you're a trooper. Thanks so much for going the extra mile and getting that photo of her general area. It helps to at least have an idea of where she is. If I lived nearby I would have the cemetery do a search for a buried headstone or at least do a survey. I had that same thing happen with my sister. The headstone was buried and Valhalla (Milwaukee) cleared it up so we could see it. David

More followup:
- if you have a general idea where in Old Mount Ida your Vandecars are, I can hop over there and get them, too.
- adding two and two - we're about the same age. I've been in the Troy area for 42 years, so we may have crossed paths. Came here to go to RPI... I was known to tip the occasional beer at the Copper Mug on 15th. We live in Eagle Mills now.

My pleasure. Is this the Himes family that was an undertaker here in Troy?

Hi Jim,
I forgot to mention that when you go to photograph this memorial and you happen to see Rose Murstein, it is okay to take both photos. That was his wife. She died in 1980 so I'm not sure if they are interred together. I'll be on annual active duty starting tomorrow so I may not receive email for a week or so, thanks.

Hi Jim'
Thank you for recently working on the Sherr family for me. I found another relative there. I submitted a request but if you can fulfill it that would be great.

Hi again, I checked with Hollywood Cemetery and they stated that Sue Eloise Brook was buried in Section 6, Lot 105. Is that what you found? Would it be possible to take a picture of that section containing the lot even if it has no headstone? Thanks much, David

Sue Brook
I thank you very much for attempting to fill my photo request. Sue must have not had a headstone as her death certificate states she was buried there. I will try contacting the cemetery for further information. Thanks very much for trying. David

How funny. Sure had a nice time with you. Looking forward to meeting again, soon I hope. I liked walking the cemetery with someone else. So rare it made it more interesting to share stories as we walked. You're OK for a High School Mean Girl....LOL
