Reeves
Donella,

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. It is very probable that the Reeves in your family cemetary are related to me. Do you have their names?

Wood Cemetery, Webberville
I was wondering if you have an address for this cemetery or directions on how to get to it. Have you visited the cemetery and is it accessible or would I need to get permission to enter the property? If you did visit the cemetery did you take any photos? Any information would be appreciated.

Amanda Canion
Hello Donna!
It looks like the whole place has been really taken care of. All of the headstones that have been broken have been cemented back together. And the ones that have half of them missing have been laid in cement slabs so they don't deteriorate further. I don't know who has been doing the upkeep, but they have done a fantastic job of trying to preserve these precious old tombstones. We originally went to just take photos of my husbands family there, but I was astonished by the beauty of almost all of the stones in the yard and couldn't leave without taking as many pictures as my camera space would allow. I agree that it is just beautiful. I hope you are able to go back soon and see all the hard work some wonderful soul has poured into it.

Judy
P.A. Leatherwood buried in J.J. Manor Cemetery
This was my great-grandfather. He was the son of Alexander Marion and Julia Ann Leatherwood, born 25 September 1848 in Winston County MS. He married Mary Eliza Jones, daughter of Freeman and Martha Ann Hanna Jones in Lowndes County AL on 27 August 1871. They were living on a rented farm in Bastrop County when he died six months after the birth of their only child, my grandfather, Petillo Emmett Leatherwood. Mary Eliza died with Grandpa was 8. She is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas County, Lampasas TX. I just posted all the Leatherwood graves in that cemetery.
