|I Remember When||Page updates in flowers. Really?|
I just discovered you had left information in a flower on the page for John C. Thomas back in 2012! This is not the appropriate place to leave information. That's why Find a Grave places an EDIT tab on each memorial. CLICK HERE to read Find a Grave guidelines.

Do you REALLY want this on the memorials? I had specifically left it out of consideration for the family. DC is available if they want it.

"From one seeker to another", I loved that. Yup.
Next time I'm over at that cemetery, I will get a photo of Edna and Paul's headstone(s). May as well complete their memorials as much as we can. (-: Cheers, Amy

Hi Kit - I will link Vanice to her dad. I see that her mom, Edna, is also in Green Mountain, and I've linked her to Vanice, too. Edna's name is misspelled as "Tague". I've sent an edit request to the memorial creator to fix that, and I've also requested he add Edna's birthdate (6 Jul 1896), too, which is in the burial index information. Are you researching this family? -Amy

|Bob Carter||Burial 28523889|
Perry Sloan has posted a photo of the burial marker for Lucy Reynolds Layne in the correct cemetery, but we need for you to move her memorial 28523889 from where you posted it and transfer it to the correct cemetery of 2426972, which is in Surry County, NC and not in Lee County as you have it shown.

|Bob Carter||Incorrect cemetery for burial|
Your burial record of 28523889 is incorrect. See this link 119202999 for the correct burial in Surry County, NC and also a photo of the grave. I believe Perry Sloan will remove his burial if you correct the burial location.

|Sharon Prescott Rogers||Dr. Willard Vice Bethea|
I saw you left a message for Dr. Bethea in the flowers section of his memorial a while back. The Dr. Bethea I recall was an education professor at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, not a medical doctor to my knowledge. Are you sure this Dr. Bethea was a medical doctor? I could be looking at the wrong memorial?

Thank you for leaving a message on Uncle Claude's memorial. Yes Grandma Helen had it rough. Not only did she have 2 death's close together in the 40's, but the same thing happened in the 70's too. I noticed you mentioned Aunt Rachel's maiden name, I didn't have that anywhere on the memorial that I know of, are we related?

Hi Kit, I noticed your entries about Evie... would you please show "Evie" rather than Evia.. Her full name was Mamie Evie Hall Forbis. Her father was Robert Lee "Tobe" Hall.... I have them linked in Find A Grave and I have requested the entries for Mamie Evie and her husband to be linked.
Also her mother's name is Susan Henrietta Hardamon Hall.... please correct for me. Susan "Susie" was my great aunt... tu

Hi Kit, I finally got back to my find a grave work and the info you suggested. This is info I do already know...just hadn't added it yet. George and Rosie Carter were my great grandparents...are you and I related? Paula

Please do not create "Unknown" cemeteries. If you do not know the location of interment, you should use burial: "Other" on the submission form and choose "Location of body unknown" on the next page. Then use a virtual cemetery to keep track of the memorials you do not currently know the location for interment.

|jrpv||WALKER MCGEE Screven County GA|
I thank you for your information about Kimball MCGEE.
Although admittedly a secondary source, according to John Ellis WALKER (1921-1994), compiler of Genealogy of the Walker Family - Begining with: James and Ann Wodehouse Walker 1740 Northumberland County, Wooler, England, the wife of Kimball MCGEE was
Ruby Marie WALKER, the daughter of
George Newton WALKER Sr. &
Sarah Elizabeth LANIER.
Ruby Marie WALKER MCGEE (1900-1968) was the second cousin of the compiler's father (and a cousin of my own through the WHITEs). Within Screven County, the WALKERs and MCGEEs had many intermarriages (like the BOYKINs and SHEPPARDs, or the BAZEMOREs, JEFFERs, MOCKs and SCOTTs, &c.), and Kimball MCGEE's bride would undoubtedly be part of the compiler's family. That large family seems to have included just one James T. WALKER (1852-1919), the compiler's grandfather; I have no information about your JTW-TAYLOR pair, who were likely younger.
May God Bless You and Your Family,
