I did send in an edit request to correct the lapses in the contributor's effort - probably listed from one of the Barber transcriptions.

Hi Judy, It's me, Jane!

I was reviewing stone cutters, found I hadn't uploaded this photo from 2 winters ago, turns out you had an outstanding request for James' tombstone!

Note very faint, in the lower right hand corner the signature of Owen, (of Middletown NY.) Haven't done any research on him though .... one of these days.

Anyway, nice to bump into you here as well!

Best, Jane

RE: Henry Corwin, father of Ann Corwin (Gumaer)
I looked at the Laurel Grove burial book today when I was at the library in PJ. Unfortunately, Henry isn't among the Corwins listed. Are you sure about his burial place? Who is he buried with? Thank you, J

RE: Gumaer @ Green-Wood
I added this caption to the Evelyn Gumaer photo:

"The gravesite of Evelyn A. Gumaer is unmarked. Lot 2107 is in the bottom, middle clear area in front of the 4 small headstones which are in front of a single large memorial."

I photographed every name in that large plot - several dozen names. If you want I can send you all of the pictures. Mostly Linneman, but several others.

I have posted an overview on Charles' memorial of the Lot/Unit where their niche (50) is located . Yes, these are cremated remains in the book-style urns. Let me know if you need more info. Stephen

Did you want the W. G. Gumaer photo?

Added by Marshall Bruce on Sep 18, 2013 7:36 PM

Have posted A. Gumaer. WIll also load: Adelaide, R.B., and Richard. There is also a W.G. Gumaer on the same plot(1909-1952). If you want to start a memorial--I will add that one as well.

Jennie M. Gumaer daughter of Jacob Gumaer and Abigail (Mulock) Gumaer married George E. Brokaw. George Brokaw was my 5th cousin twice removed. So in that respect I am related.

RE: Nancy DeVall.
I already had a note on Nancy's but also included it on her parents. The graves of Peter and Elizabeth at Fairville are unmarked as far as I know. I believe they are interred on the side closest to Route 88 where some marked Gumare graves are located.

I'd like to find out the exact date of birth in 1812 for Nancy. I have a copy of her estate surrogate from Wayne County, but it only mentions her date of death which was August 5, 1865. The petition was done by Levi Devall on December 20, 1865.

OK. I have also seen "GUMARE" as well on some graves in the Town of Arcadia, primarily at Fairville Cemetery.

RE: William Ennes
I have done extensive research on Calvin Enneses line since he was a neighbor of my Grandmothers in Au Gres,MI. I have had much contact with the Ennes family growing up and since, and have had access to Calvins records while he was writing his book which was published in 1969, and have filled in many blanks after several years of research.
