Yes, Mary and my G-grandmother, Mary Ellen Hoffman, lived on the same farm together, originally the Peter Enterline Farm East of Enterline. I was very fortunate to have this photo identified for all to view. Wish I knew how she died.

I had placed Rebecca's monument in the wrong Chestnut Hill cemetery. It is actually in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland Co, PA. I had to delete the memorial, so please update the one in Cumberland Co.

Did you reject my edit on Christian because of the wrong order of the wives? Everything else seems to be in order on his memorial.

Hey Russ - I'd love a pdf copy. I'm firstname.lastname@example.org read the story on the cem. opening page or my FB if you do that. Also have William J. Gunter who has no death place listed on his record but judging by the date of death must be in Huntersville too. There are several Ga. soldiers buried in Marlinton, the legend being measles was the cause of death. Col. Savage of the 16th TN wrote of the conditions there in Huntersville - that being the cause of so many deaths. I've made 4 trips up there and it is such an honor to be part of this piece of history.

I recognize your name from the SCV website and was going to write to you. I've found 2 more of your boys #137251420 and #137250892 in Huntersville Confederate Cemetery in western Virginia per their CS records. The old cem. there is the resting place for several CS soldiers who died of disease. There is also a cem. in the next town when I was doing some research for the museum there and found 2 more of your boys but as of now that cem. is unnamed. I'm listed as the cem. official who ordered the first 20 stones in Huntersville, however with the new regs. family members only can order. Do you know of any McRaney or Weeks descendants who would help with the stones? I'll gladly do the paperwork. I hope to hear from you. (PS if you need any verification you can call SCV HQ and speak to Bryan Sharp.)

You're very welcome. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery is very peaceful and serene and I was happy to take the photograph you requested.

One other thing: If you're next of kin, make sure your information with Lawnview is current.
They are one of the few cemeteries that actually care and actually have a place in their computer records for next of kin information.

That was easy. I transferred them both.
Were they from near Lawnview? My grandparents lived in the McKinley section of Abington Township.

Would you like me to transfer the memorial to you?
Added by Dead weight on Aug 29, 2014 8:06 PM
I just added Paul and Emma from Lawnview Cemetery outside of Philadelphia.
If you're related, I highly recommend you have the cemetery raise the stone. All the stones in that section (including my grandparents') have been ignored. They are really bad. If something isn't done to them soon, they will be lost underground.
This cemetery, as most of them, really should be a shamed of themselves.

|Craig Burton||RE: Andrew John Hamilton|
Russ, sorry I don't have any documentation on Andrew John Hamilton's Civil War service. My interest in him is mostly that he married into the Burton family. I got the information on his bio from someone else, but no documentation. If I can ever help you in the future please let me know.....thanks....Craig Burton
